If Teddy Bridgewater came here...

Bridgewater and Morris are two of the better quarterbacks in the country. Both will play on Sundays.

It is the era of the South Florida quarterback. No more Gray Crows, please.

Wait, wait. D werent you high on Gary last year or am I mistaken (completely possible).

Gary is DOA as a um qb huh. It was expected...

Honestly, I'm not crazy about either of the QBs we signed last year. Thompson was actually my favorite. I initially heard Crow was ahead, but Dewey has since pulled in front.

1) Bridge is putting on a clinic tonight.

2) If Morris plays on Sundays he better learn to be a jockey cuz his *** aint sniffin an NFL roster. Camp arm at best.

3) Preston Dewey will be solid.

Olsen should be the 2nd best QB on the team next year, I have little doubt.

Oh ok, I agree with you on the qbs. I am still trying to understand how or what Gray crow showed to who to get a offer. And the Dewey kid I cant really speak on but I dont like a qb who couldnt finish a season in high school due to injury. We will see. Atleast we have the Jersey kid coming in.

When Golden got here he flat out said he needed bodies at QB. He wanted 5 on the team. He didn't say he was going to get 5 starter quality guys (unfortunately). Whatever his reasons were, he said it and did it.

I like Morris and thinks he takes us to the ACCG game next season, but I can't see this dude in the league.

back to the OP thread, Bridgewater starts over Morris, I have no doubt.

part two - a lot of peeps on grassy wanted nothing to do with TB because he's a ninja qb from nw a la Japickory, guilty by association.

Bridgewater is a spread QB and would have had about as much success as Jacory did in our pro-style system (little better, actually, Bridgewater is a better athlete). Jacory could have been a little better had he gone to Oregon. Randy had no ******* idea how to recruit QB's for his system.

We better off with Morris/Olsen, by far.

Think about the qb situation when Golden got here...we had Jacory and Stephen and 0 backups and both Stephen and Jacory were terrible. He had 2 months to put together an entire recruiting class and Bridgewater and Brisset snubbed us. Ryan Williams couldn't play for a year and I don't remember a lot of talent being available at QB in the past recruiting cycle.

Things look a lot better because he built some depth with a transfer and an under the radar guy (Dewey) and he pulled Olsen. Gray was an insurance policy in a class where we were just adding numbers. I won't be surprised if he leaves after next year, but it would have been nice if he was at least athletic enough to be a ST contributor like Buck Ortega (who was awesome on special teams if your remember some of his games against FSU) or at least provide depth on D (like Highsmith, who never should have been expected to start but is a good body to have).

Gray Crow is a kid who will work his *** off and push the other QB's on your roster. He will stick around and not complain about getting PT while keeping his nose clean and grinding. You need that guy on the roster regardless if he may never take a snap at Miami. Not everybody will be a starter. You need role players on your roster.

Morris in the league? That's almost as bad as the Eagles winning the whole **** thing Demetrius.

Morris will be in the league. Will he be a star? That story has yet to be written. But he will be paid to play NFL football.

Here are quotes from a current and former NFL scout:

The other night in Chicago, at halftime, a pro scout watched Morris warming up from the press box.

"I like everything I see about that kid," the scout said. "You can see his thinking and his arm strength. You see the maturity in how he carries himself out there on the field.

"If he keeps growing the next couple of years like he has this past year or so, he's going to do very well for himself playing on Sundays."

While many will focus only on the numbers, Morris looked good in all aspects of the game. The junior showed great patience, awareness and made terrific decisions in the pocket. He connected on five passes of 40 yards or more, including the game-winner of 62 yards. Morris is slowly developing into the complete package, melding his incredible physical skills into consistent, smart play at quarterback.

Don't know how anybody can definitively say a 56% passer is a lock to make it a league. Morris' arm and measurables give him a shot if continues improving, but he is far from a lock to play on Sundays

Teddy would not be as successful if he came here because a. The spread attack Louisville uses is much better suited for him than our offense and b. he's not cut out to handle the pressure of being the hometown QB on the hometown team in the city of Miami

A 54% passer went eighth in 2011.

Morris will make the pros. But if he actually wants to be a starter, he needs to take the next step as a senior.

players don't always pan out, he was late for the elite qb game (they all commit early), so he decided to take 3 pretty good guys. If one in three sticks he's set. Problem is morris was still an unknown comodity and he needed someone two years down the line anyway which with a redshirt would be a sophomore. There was no depth and he couldnt take chances.

Knowing we're getting olsen now would he have done that? probably not. but he wasn't going to bet the future of the team on a guy who was a year away from signing. This isn't shannon.
