I think the team need to improve overall. I think improvements in 3rd down and redzone offense will benefit the defense as much or even more.. I think the personnel will be better at safety, DT and LB.. I think we'll be be better set up to take on injuries from a depth standpoint

Safety we will be young as ****

LB we will be young and GREEN as ****

we lose all of our DT's

Play a tougher schedule against better offenses

etc etc etc

If it were not for incredibly harmful, self serving, print media by CS much of this would not had happened.

IMO CS turned many fans against AG who he himself has been nothing short of a stellar captain of the ship thru our darkest times.

YES the D SUCKS but we had NO players on Dline and LB because of previous coaching mistakes and I agree with all of you who think we are too passive on D BTW.

I guess I can rationalize why some are ok with Gorlden staying around....BUT, for those of you who fall in this category, what are your thoughts on Al keeping Coach D? The proof is in the pudding, our D has been attrocious. Some issues are personnel, but the inability to adjust at all and try and mask those deficiencies is inexcusable. WOAT defense I have seen at UM in my life. I think his unquestioned loyalty to a friend at the detriment of the program Is a red flag.
If he nuts up and cans Dorito I guess ill at least be ok for the moment but if that doesn't happen I have zero hope of anything more than mediocrity. I'll still always be a fan and watch and go to every game but its upsetting.

going in to year 4, this previous coaching excuse is not going to valid after this class.

Golden has the potential to be a good coach and is an awesome recruiter, and i will forgive all if he fires or demotes coach D


Golden cant fire his BFF because he sucks = hes not a good coach and i hate him

I'm hearing PSU will interview Pete Lembo from Ball State within 48 hrs....tells me all I need to know
 
Horrible thread. I was a Golden supporter for two years. I've seen enough to know this guy isn't the answer.

Jenkins, Bush, Carter, Hester, Gayot, the numbers are there finally

Young, Owens, Figs, big kids 230 plus finally looking like we should physically there and I think Denzel comes back especially with Golden

Got a feeling Wyche and Hertolou, are better than what we've seen here, we'll know by summer if Al is bringing in 5th year transfers

ok so you named 1 PROVEN good football player who was down with an injury last year (bush). Jenkins is fun to watch and all but he gets lost in coverage alot. if this was not the case rodgers and highsmith wouldnt have played so **** much.
