It's obvious why he went to osu - when he couldn't even beat out Fromm as the starting qb of georgia.. Even though fields was considered the best pre-college player in the country.. But thats for scrambling throwers / even though they categorize these students as pocket passers and scramblers.. He has no football intellect, no i/q for the game he plays..
At osu.. urban meyer claims he has a heart condition that might give him a heart attack any second because the stress of coaching in florida. But all his best players had certain attributes that made them click the bcs champ teams.. Percy Harvin was there reggie bush type player but at reciever, and Tebow was like Ken Dorsey; but he could scramble for extra time to make players & he has bigger so he could take a pounding from the defense.; But at the same time.. meyer was going to get axed anyway - after he "retires" there's all these tv/reports how he just recruits a bunch of I guess, "knuckleheads?" Basically what the Hurricanes was most known for back in the 1980 to what should been a 3 peat (sugar, rose, fiesta - bcs champs).
But at osu; meyer gets fired for I guess hiring a position coach.. Who if I remember right was a pedophile or abused woman - I forgot. But ryan day the offensive 'guru' on osu is the new head coach. & all of a sudden fields decides to transfer there.. It's obvious they feed those kids methamphetamine / ritalin etc pills, just so they can remember the playbook. And they probably give them hgh and/or steroids. Look at they recent 1st rounders like - bosa, lattimore. They all have good years when they first crack the starting lineup in the pro's.. But then they need the 2nd year to learn how to play without cheating like lattimore on the saints.. & Bosa on the chargers, I guess needed a full year to get on the playing field because of a foot injury. - When I guess he could have been the number dude in his nfl draft.
It's obvious to anyone with common sense they get away with cheating &/or paying the scrub who's stuck on the bench. How michigan - every year has a top 5-10 defense - but can't run with osu? Even though the first few years with Harbaugh he has a better high school draft class then osu, or just around the same stars, I guess aka.. I'm pretty sure he knows how to coach and put together a nfl roster even / the 49ers were a defensive powerhouse for the years he coached in the nfl.. meyer isn't even brought up every nfl coaching season for a reason - he's a scum bag. Even Chip Kelly name gets talked about for the nfl, even though little kids say he sucks at ucla which is like the little brother compared to usc.
Its the same in every level of football.. The owners or I guess school presidents have no clue how to evaluate - foresee how to put together a roster that can win. Kids say the patriots were lucky. But Belichick was hand picked by Parcell to take over the jets after being his best strategist for defense on the giants. You're either a good coach/player or not.
& no high school i/q test or wonderlick score, whatever that provides does any good. Terrell Owens was quoted by Steve Young to have the best football smarts for any player he coached on the 49ers, over Montana. Tom Brady was a 6th round pick because he looked out of shape in his basketball shorts at the combine. Look how his nfl career turned out. I doubt Montana and his underwear workout was brought up after he was heralded as the best qb of all time maybe ever in the pro's.
Its just stupid how everyone thinks they know how to coach / scout / play a game they never even had a shot at in real life as being hired to be a part of aka But there's always fantasy football you can make a profit from. Or like most do nowadays - just act like they know everything because they saw it somewhere in a book or internet that got a bunch of thumbs up that might be water cooler talk they saw on espn, etc.
