I want this bowl game

Now these mugs r the Fenway Bowl, the Duke’s Mayo Bowl, the Pop Tart Bowl, The Gasparilla Bowl (wtf is a Gasparilla), Famous Idaho Potato Bowl…like who in the fck would want to play in these titled games?

Lost in all off this is the fact teams playing in a bowl get all that extra practice and more game experience.

I think if Ward is on his game, we can put this one away so that Cam can sit by the third and put Emory in to get game practice for Spring, when his competition starts filtering in.

A lot depends on whether the defense decides to get off the team bus or not and decides to show out. That's a big "if".
 
With Cam playing, Miami now has to win. It's as simple as that. Guidry should absolutely not be allowed to call plays, i mean he really shouldn't even be on the staff but Mario is soft AF so he probably will be.

Just a total gaff by the bowl committee, & in turn it’s devalued these bowl games even further w/ these goofy names.

Because it’s not the Citrus Bowl. The Citrus Bowl is the Cheez It Citrus Bowl on 12/31 at Camping World. Orlando hosts 3 bowl games and this bowl game actually is the best of the 3 when considering the rankings of the teams.

What the **** do you guys care about the number of wins for? Nobody will even remember it. We still won nothing and ended up in a crappy bowl. Do you walk around with a 10-2 tshirt on with pride?

Did u actually read or did u just respond b/c ur reply literally has **** to do w/ my point. I didn’t say we were playing in the old Citrus bowl; I said how dumb these new names r that further devalues the bowl games. I used The Citrus Bowl as an example.

Winning this same bowl game in 2016 led to a 10-0 start the next season.

FSU beating OU in this same bowl game in 2022 led to a 13-0 start the next season.

Jose Gaspar was a pirate nicknamed Gasparilla in the Tampa Bay area around 1800. They have events and his name is everywhere there, but he probably never existed. Don't try to tell them that, then all they'll have is the Cuban sandwich and that's already been disputed as well.

this is critical to set the stage for the trajectory of the program moving forward.

Nah, I get it….I honestly don’t know who or what corporate sponsors took over what bowl games. I was just saying it would’ve been better if the bowl games kept their original names, but each sponsor presented it.

Like perception is everything, u feel me? What sounds more prestigious: The Citrus Bowl or The Cheez-It Bowl? Lol
 
If memory serves, it was always things like the Fedex Orange Bowl until they added the Carquest Bowl, then it became all about the sponsors.

I blame Nascar.

I feel you 100% is should just be “Citrus Bowl”. Plain and simple. But like the rest of CFB - money has ruined it.
