I find it odd Restrepo…

That is WILD to me!! Not playing while these transfers who been here less than a year are is crazy! Dude is supposed to be a tough guy also. And Aroyo who has really missed two seasons with injuries while playing a more physical position is playing (we all agree he shouldn’t BTW) and this pus$ isn’t playing?!! Lost all respect for dude if he does not play.
Lmao 4 years of everything out the window for a bowl game, yall are insane

Maybe X wants the young dudes to get their shot and feels like he’d be in the way of that.

Maybe X is still upset that he fumbled against Cuse

Maybe he doesn’t like Pop Tarts

One thing I’m not going to do is make it like X is quitting on his teammates or some **** like that. We should all know better than that when it comes to him

what if someone in his family got ill from eating pop tarts and he took a moral stance from ever associating with them

No doubt X has had a great career, but it was HIS fumble that changed the Syracuse game and gave them an easy 6. He doesn't fumble, we probably win and go to the ACCCG for only the 2nd time and make the CFP. His choice obviously, but doesn't sit well with me considering most everyone else is playing

It's football man and that kid has been a warrior and has left it all on the table. You trying to make losing to Cuse and missing the ACC championship and playoff hopes on him is laughable. This is the same kid that had an insane catch from his butt to help extend a game winning drive. He's earned the right to make the choice. He has laid his body on the line time after time and you're mad over a meaningless pop tart bowl game... Hilarious!

I'm surprised too but I get it. Every kid has to make their own decisions and they have multiple influences in their life outside of themselves and even coaches and agents..he's got a mom and dad as well and who knows what they think.

Are we actually sure he's not playing? I haven't seen confirmation one way or the other. Usually when these kids aren't playing they'll make a statement and declare for the draft.

Are you trying to insinuate I’ve never played competitive sports because I think Restrepo probably feels he has more to loose than gain playing and that risk is probably more than any player on the team. All while never expressing my own opinion on whether I think he should play or not?
General consensus from objectors in my original X thread weeks ago when I found out he was talking to agent about playing.

Maybe not you personally, but I find it hard to believe some of those comments came from people who have played competitive sports up to and thru adulthood.

A competitor wants to compete every single opportunity. Especially if you have a bad game/play, you want to get back out there redeem youself. Also if all your "boys" are going to battle even more incentive.

Alot of boosters paying hard earned money for X NIL package for him to play the season thru. Not walk out on chance at history.

I dont think we win this game without X.

Our toughest opponent, without one of our best players isnt a recipe for success.

Play the young guys isnt a method to beat good football teams. Drops, penalties, run wrong routes is more or what you would see.

We may be without 3 of our 4 WRs. We couldnt beat GT and Syracuse fully funded, but we are going to beat Iowa State without our WR corp? Dont see it

OP’s point is simply that he found X not playing to be odd/surprising. That is a fair point. Even many of us who feel X has given everything UM could have ever asked of him, and earned the right to choose whether to play, find it surprising that one of the greatest warriors ever to play at UM is missing out on his last game for UM.

Being surprised is not being critical.

Which makes me wonder if there is an injury of which we are not aware.

X could do whatever he wants. He’s earned his right to make his own decisions and has done so much for this program. You think that one meaningless crap bowl game is going to change his draft status? If you want to get ****ed at him for sitting out then you need to reevaluate yourself.
