I find it odd Restrepo…

Willis McGahee had one back in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl. Not exactly new. I'm sure the draft process and playing would still be preferable, so I still won't question his character. The seniors owe us nothing.
I was joking about insurance being a new thing.

Colorado is paying for insurance for all of its draftable players ... I'm sure Miami is doing the same.

The point was an injury and lost money is NOT part of the equation b/c of the insurance.

OP’s point is simply that he found X not playing to be odd/surprising. That is a fair point. Even many of us who feel X has given everything UM could have ever asked of him, and earned the right to choose whether to play, find it surprising that one of the greatest warriors ever to play at UM is missing out on his last game for UM.

Being surprised is not being critical.

Which makes me wonder if there is an injury of which we are not aware.
Me too, could be a minor problem that he doesn’t want to aggravate. And he should not.

That is WILD to me!! Not playing while these transfers who been here less than a year are is crazy! Dude is supposed to be a tough guy also. And Aroyo who has really missed two seasons with injuries while playing a more physical position is playing (we all agree he shouldn’t BTW) and this pus$ isn’t playing?!! Lost all respect for dude if he does not play.

No doubt X has had a great career, but it was HIS fumble that changed the Syracuse game and gave them an easy 6. He doesn't fumble, we probably win and go to the ACCCG for only the 2nd time and make the CFP. His choice obviously, but doesn't sit well with me considering most everyone else is playing
Honestly man, people like you can go **** yourself on this topic

It was his performance that made us even be in a position to blow the opportunity, all season long, saving us time and time again and it’s not his fault alone We blew a 21 point lead. This is the reason I would get in fights while I was in college on football because the stupidity just infuriates me and the intellectual inconsistency of acting like one play, was his downfall and ignoring everything else he did all year.

Understood man but There is a major difference on being surprised which is a good topic for a reasonable discussion, vs. people using it as a path to a chance to **** on somebody who deserves none of that and it’s ******* infuriating

Keep his toughness and dedication to the program out of your ******* mouths idiots

I am glad in a way that he is not playing and then we may not see any of the senior receivers and obviously Horton is gone because it might get us a chance to see the Young Guns with the really good quarterback even if only for a little while so that way we can fairly compare what they did with somebody good versus whoever comes in whether that’s a transfer or EMORY or Luke for that matter.

If I young receivers are as good as we hope, and all the people mad that they didn’t get burned, predict that they should eat with cam ward today for however long he’s in and yes, I know they have a good secondary, but that shouldn’t matter if they’re as talented as we hope, with a quarterback, we know is

There are people in this thread who I am convinced will protest X going in the UM Ring of Honor because he took his agent’s sage advice regarding injury risk and sat the Pop Tarts Bowl out. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Don't forget, he also fumbled once against Syracuse.

Imagine if this site got to vote on whether to induct Vinny into the Ring of Honor.

i won't ... but i disagree with the narrative that he shouldn't play, he's done enough ... imo he hasn't, there's another game to win

I'm sorry let me also cry and complain because a player who gave his all at the U decides to focus on his career. How dare I

Your comments below that were bolded are hilariously assinine.

earned his stripes from a fanbase that did not accept him at first. He watched his ex-QB and starting LT go from 1st round picks to possibly never playing at the highest level.

yes. I think you said it well, It always seemed unlike him and now that it has come out that the other 'seniors' are all participating, it is even more surprising. I think initially Jalen Rivers was not going to play, either. But he clearly is participating..

It doesn't seem like he's in Orlando. And I am sure there won't be any mention of injury, if that's the case, due to the draft, etc.

He did rsvp he would be playing in the Senior Bowl.
