YOU GUYS! AL'S GOT THIS. It only took three years of putrid, historically terrible defenses before Golden decided he might want to poke his head down the hall and see what the defensive coaches are up to. Okay, yes, they were smoking several blunts and playing Frogger on the projector instead of breaking down tape, that's true. BUT that's all in the past now. Defensive guru Al Golden is on the case. Blubber Ryan is going to get this defense HUMMING like he has in the past at other schools. So you know-nothing mopes complaining because you think Miami shouldn't allow 45 pts. to the Our Lady of Lourdes squad are going to look dumb as **** when he has the U back in the top 75 nationally on D.

Make sure you losers bookmark this post so you can come back and apologize to me when UL only scores 41 against UM and your chicken little routine about how bad the defense is going to be looks ridiculous.

Oh look, another expectations out of kilter dope who thinks the head coach is supposed to be responsible for the defense ran by the DC he hired on the team he coaches full of players he recruited. Brilliant.

Good to see a Golden fan with his facts correct. I can't even argue with you on this.

You nailed it. We get all the way back in the Top 75 on defense, and Al can write his own ticket.
 
Repub is already rounding into mid-season form.

It should be a great season on the boards this year, regardless of the actual product on the field.

Just a bit curious - any idea on where in the wide, wide world of sports Golden has been for the past three years, to just now realize the defense may need a bit more attention?

I thought when D'Onofrio was criticized, that Golden stated explicitly that the defense was his? Right?

So what's this new dedication to being more hands on with the defense?

Not one to cast aspersions, but it sounds like he's talking out his *** AND both sides of his mouth. That fat boy is slippery, slippery, slippery. If he'd spend less time preparing lies, misrepresentations, deceptions, dishonesty, falsifications, distortions, evasions, inaccuracies, and fabrications, and spend more time on learning another defense - something like the Miami 4-3 with a twist or two, he'd likely win some games he's supposed to.

He'll make a new account and get super attached to the new coach before he proves himself. Rinse and repeat. It's no coincidence that you hear the same whacked out rationalizations for three different, failure head coaches.
