I’m starting to get the sense…

But you can still get into the CFP without winning the conference. Look at Indiana with their schedule they lucked into a 1 loss season with a weak schedule and are locked in without beating anyone of significance all season. They did what they had to with their schedule but the one challenge they had they lost to OSU by a lot.
This is so funny as our ACC schedule wasn't that hard...we lost to GT and Syracuse as double-digit favorites

What's going on with the playoffs is not going to help.

If they boot SMU, should they lose, it's sending a message too

Telling kids 9-3 is better than 11-2 or 10-2 because of WHO they lost to....
I thought the committee said conference championship games don’t count again you . That rule only is in affect if your the sec. And big 10 . A 3 loss team shouldn’t be in over a 2 loss one in conference championship

Not saying our schedule was hard. I’m saying they got rewarded for wins against weak competition. They played two good teams and went 1-1 while getting blown out in their loss.

FIU 4-8
WIU 4-8
UCLA 5-7
CLT 5-7
Maryland 4-8
Northwestern 4-8
Nebraska 6-6
Washington 6-6
Michigan St 5-7
Michigan 7-5
OSU 10-2 (L 38-15)
Purdue 1-11

Florida 7-5
FAMU 7-5
Ball St 3-9
USF 6-6
Va Tech 6-6
Cal 6-6
Louisville 8-4
FSU 2-10
Duke 9-3
GT 7-5
Wake 4-8
Syracuse 9-3

That ACC membership is a recruiting liability.

I’ve heard all of the other reasons/excuses as to why our class didn’t end up where we thought it would, but this seems to be a forgotten one.

There is no way SEC and B1G coaches aren’t telling blue-chip recruits that the ACC is a joke of a conference. They wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t. The narrative is forming and people will soon think of the ACC and Big 12 as closer to the G5 than the Power 2.

Every single 5-star prospect signed with an SEC or B1G program and that’s not a coincidence. With each passing year, it’s going to get harder for Mario to recruit, no matter how well he does on the field.

We have to get the **** out of this conference before we drift off into complete irrelevancy.
What about Notre Dame?
