Hunter Knighton rushed to hospital?

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- Miami offensive lineman Hunter Knighton is out of the hospital after falling ill during a workout last month.

The circumstances behind Knighton's health issue remain unclear, with school officials saying only that the player's family has asked for privacy. Knighton was hospitalized a few days before spring practice began on March 1.

Knighton released a statement on Monday thanking everyone who had been praying for him over the last few weeks. He also thanked the "best family, coaches, doctors and support group for getting me this far."

Knighton, a native of Pottstown, Pa., signed with Miami in February 2013. He redshirted last season for the Hurricanes, who went 9-4.

Thanks for the Update Dan. That is a scary situation.

Gonna be rooting extra hard for this kid.

When Jimmy Johnson took over the lowly Dallas Cowboys, the first thing he wanted to do was turn the team around by improving conditioning.

On his first day, they were doing conditioning sprints. One player quit halfway through the sprint. Jimmy Johnson was furious, he wanted to know why this player couldn't finish the drill.

The player told him he had asthma. He needed to use his breather every now and then.

Jimmy Johnson sent the kid over to the "asthma" track (meaning, he sent him over to some corner of the field), and the player never played a down for the Cowboys. He was cut after that season.

Jimmy had the killer instinct. You can't win championships with a bunch of cripples on your roster. You need the best and fastest and strongest.

It's all fine and well to wish Hunter Knighton the best, but that kid doesn't belong on this team. There are a lot of other athletes out there who would put that scholarship to better use.

A Miami Hurricane spends two weeks in the ICU and you post, "You can't win championships with a bunch of cripples on your roster."
Thanks for sharing your insight and wisdom.
1) he's a kid
2) he's a Cane
3) buy a dog

Please start following another team, any other team. I would rather have 85 Cane brothers that spent 2 weeks in ICU and all they can think about is getting back on the field than you as a fan. I would rather sit alone in an empty stadium watching this kid do pushups than sit at a NC game if you were in the stands. You have no clue what is means to be a Cane. You do not understand because it is a Cane thing and you are not one. Anyone know how to excommunicate this bag of horse crap?

Kid had walking pneumonia, not some auto-immune disorder you ******* loser. And he was STILL working out at a BCS level. You talk tough, but I bet you don't get out of bed when your hung over, let alone a condition that still means death in some parts of the world.

Get out my face with this ****.

Danny La Russo's gonna fight!!!

All the best to Hunter on a speedy recovery!
