Hunter Knighton rushed to hospital?

Was told that he is moving limbs.

The UM statement made it sound like it was no big deal.

What exactly is going on?

No it didn't... By law UM can't comment on his condition unless his family is making the statement public.

CORAL GABLES—University of Miami officials confirmed that offensive lineman Hunter Knighton is facing a serious health issue.

Knighton remained unconscious after being taken to University of Miami Hospital following an off-season workout on Monday, the Miami Herald reported citing two anonymous sources. Miami would not comment on the specifics of Knighton's condition or how he was injured."

in my mind this thing is strange. i have no idea why but something just isn't sitting right with me. the family is awfully tight lipped about this. maybe they are just private people but i wouldn't be shocked if something more came out on this soon. nevertheless i am pulling for the kid. nobody should ever get screwed up playing a game especially college or high school

So it is strange to you for his family to want privacy and not want to discuss their sons serious medical condition publicly. This is shocking!!! I have never heard of any family ever doing this.

Our society has become accustomed to instant gratification on so many different levels. Sad really.

Wishing Hunter a healthy and speedy recovery, and my thoughts and prayers to his family.

i acknowledged they might be private people but i am just stating that something isn't sitting right with me. btw, it is also not shocking or unreasonable for a family to give some status when the patient is part of a public organization such as a high profile football team. all i am saying is i wouldnt be shocked if allegations start flying if hunter doesn't start getting better fast.

They have no obligation to say anything publicly, even if he is a college athlete. The fact he was (or still is) in the ICU for a period does not sound good. It doesn't sound like he only got the wind knocked out of him.

We had a player in the early '80's whose brother played at one of the smaller west coast schools, Santa Clara or San Jose State. He was a LB and had an outstanding game, making a bunch of tackles. I think he was named Defensive Player of the Week in his conference. A couple of days later he died while lying in his dorm room bed. No warning. Fortunately, Hunter is in the hospital where he can receive close monitoring. This does sound serious and let's pray for a full recovery.

Agreed. They have no obligation and let me say I really hope he gets better first and foremost.

Good to hear. Do we know definitively what it was at this point or is that still a mystery? All I heard was a rumor that it was a brain aneurism.

Great news and God's speed in the young man's recovery. I am sure his family will be relieved with his release.

Go Canes
