Hunter Knighton Out For The Year

Vinn, if you hate the coaches, admins, and ball girls maybe you need to step away.

Huh? I don't hate the coaches. I'm not a big Art Kehoe fan, but I don't hate him. This is supposed to be THE YEAR of great OL play. Don't wanna hear, nor shall we accept any excuses from that unit if the performance doesn't match the hype. I hope his unit dominates because that translate to more wins.

I am not a fan of ball girls that are actually grown men wearing skirts and waving pom poms while incapable of putting down the orange and green glasses.
Shalala, well that's another story.

LOL. Agree on OL. The injuries to the OL guys probably impacts the DL more as long as the top 7 stay healthy.

Has Corey King ever played oline in any capacity? He has a good build? Does he have the ability is all that matters.

This is not a serious issue at all. Kingston, Gall, and Sonny were all going to redshirt so those guys being injured really does not change anything. We are returning our full offensive line rotation form last year with the exception of only 1 player Lewis. Also we will get Danny Isidora back in 6-8 weeks.

O Line Depth Chart
LT
Ereck Flowers
Malcolm Bunche

RT
Seantrel Henderson
Taylor Gadbois

LG
Brandon Linder
Malcolm Bunche

RG
Jon Feliciano
Hunter Wells

C
Shane McDermott
Jared Wheeler

It is not serious yet because the numbers were good to start. Also 3 of the OL out will be back before the end of the year.

Get well soon kid. He was a redshirt this year anyway, but still hate to see an injury like this.

Other injury news:

-Sonny Odugwu has a knee (maniscus) injury and will be out a few days
-Alex Gall has an infection in his hand but it is not considered serious
-Danny Isidora out 6-8 weeks with a broken foot
-Golden said "I do not feel good about our offensive line"

dammit mane

**** wtf is going on w/ the OLine??....

the practices must be too intense for the young OL at this point.

But I thought Kehoe was the best and we were 2-3 deep at all positions?

Did you miss the part where 4 OL are injured?

4 of the 5 starters are out? I did not know that. Too much time with the loonies in the WEZ I suppose.

What are you even saying dude? I never said 4 of starters are out...

Then what's the issue? Or are we to worry about injuries that haven't occured yet? If our starting OL is intact, then we should be good. Today. If something changes tomorrow, well then we can re-evaluate our concerns.

Like I said, I spend too much time in the Wezaneasylum. My brain is eating itself.

Numbers are starting to get light on the O line.

Indeed they are. It's time to move C. King to OL.

What makes you think C. King can play OL? You have brought this uThere was no school this week for summer vacation. in 5 different threads I believe and I'm curious where the evidence is that King would be anything more than a number on the OL.

You guys must understand something, even if a player is going to redshirt, that's one less body out of either your 2 deep roster or your scout team. Yes, we have walk-ons to fill the void, but talent-wise you lose valuable back-ups for practice and you lose depth. I don't care how you try to slice it and present it, losing too many players on one unit usually is never a good thing.

Thank goodness we have some depth on the OL. Outside of Knighton and Isidora, the other guys sound like they'll be back sooner rather than later.

Problem is we will, at least a good portion of the time, be running a fast paced, no huddle offense that requires our O-linemen to run upfield quickly after each play. Do you really believe that it is optimal to be running this style of offense with only 5-7 o-linemen? If your answer is to say, "slow it down; don't run the no huddle", then the fact that we are forced to go away from the style of offense our coaches want to run is, in itself, a problem..

Wheeler, Wells, and Gadbois need to step up.

Bunche is still there as the swing OL and Gall can do the same thing.

Would still like to see Gall get some practice time at C.

I would rather see Wheeler at center than Gall but I don't blame you. Every time I see Gall and watch his highlights I think to myself it would be a crying shame to put him in a defensive position at Center rather than letting him do what he does.

Still though, he may be, at least eventually, our best option at the spot so I can definitely understand it.

Thanks. Do I get one of your pom poms for that? Or does that make you cry too?

Folks have been raving about how deep the OL is. Kehoe fans always remind us how great he is and that he finally has some players to work with. So what's the problem? Some dudes who prolly wouldn't get major minutes are tweaked?

Where is the justification for the "don't feel good about our OL" remark? I swear, some of you ladies have the 30day menstrual cycles going full fledge and the season hasn't even started yet.

Relax focker, it's just a message board.

Kehoe has been a part of 5 National Championship teams.
Guy has been a Cane since before many of the fans on this board were born.
Yet, you are not a big fan of his?
What did he do to you, other than bleed orange and green for most of his life?

Corey King is 6'1", maybe. The shortest guy on our OL two deep is what, 6'4"? You really think that is the move Al is going to make?
