What about Kirby? I really like Denzel on the outside, such a playmaker.
Denzel is much better on the outside. Would think Gaines/Kirby will battle for the starting spot at MLB in 2013. I don't see Bond as an every down LB.
Denzel was our starting Mike LB when the season started. As for Bond being an every down LB, watch the tape again.
Apparantly our coaches sure think highly of Bond as another site is saying Golden likens Bond to Clay Matthews.
From what is obvious on his tape, Bond is an instant help player, not a guy who is going to have to work out and learn for a year to be physically able to compete.
Remember a while back when Golden said we have to get away from playing 220lb lb's and get to where we roll out lb's who are 235-245lbs.
I think Golden is sick and tired of getting pushed around and wants the biggest, fastest, strongest and meanest team around.
Bond definitely fits that description as he certainly brings the pain.
I'd love to see us roll out Denzel at 235lbs, Bond at 240lbs and EJ at 240lbs as three starting linebackers all with speed and bad intentions.
Denzel was our starting MLB but he was moved back to the position that he is more effective at. You don't take a difference maker on the outside and move him inside where he is just okay.
I would be shocked if Denzel is at MLB in 2013.
He was not moved outside because he was more effective there, but because Buchanon got hurt again.
You guys forget that Denzel came to Miami as a middle line backer.
I'd rather have our best lb at the middle where he can go demolish people on both the weak and strong side. I may be wrong on this but when you have a guy like Denzel, you want him in the middle which is where you want your best lb.
This man says "Aww **** naw!"
