How will Bond be used? I see he had 77 tackles. I'm sure he will be in on passing downs. In the video, he used a speed rush mostly. At 230-245lbs, Is he a run stopper for us. Are you penciling him in ahead of Shayon Green or Chickillo? Will he be in the rotation?

I expect he'll be used in the same way McCord was used last year, just more often. Can't wait to see those two going after the QB. I may be optimistic, but if they both put on good weight, I could see 15-20 sacks between the two of them.

I tell you what... I think he has the opportunity to do what McCord and Cain were supposed to/trying to do last season (strictly come in and rush the pass on known passing situations) I re-watched his last highlight tape and the one thing I like is that jumps the snap really well! This is something no one on our team did well last year! I believe he comes in and plays 25-30 snaps with a goal of getting to the QB.

He looks really good!

I want to agree and then I remember that's more sacks than the whole team had last year.

Sacks do seem to snowball though so it's definitely not impossible. I still think McCord is a ways off but even then he should make an impact next year. Dude has unbelievable upside.

I think he can eventually develope into the closest thing to an every down backer we have besides perryman. Bond has a high football iq and reads plays even when he's on a blitz. The guy has a mean streak and he listens to mc eight. In 2013 I see him in a McCord role early, but he makes an impact and he's getting major burn at year end.

Imho just a rushing end as of right now. I don't recall his highlights having him him drop back into coverage but I may be wrong. So I don't know if he has that ability or not.

He can't be much worse in coverage then say Paul or Some of the others. Our line backs struggle in coverage. We need push from the dline and they will all look improved.

He will be in the rotation, IMO. As will Figueroa and Grace. I don't think he'll be typecast as just a 3rd down specialist.

The sad truth is Ambrister, Cornelius, Fentress, and Gaines are not Miami quality LBs. Perryman and EJ have proven they are, and it's TBD on Terry, Kirby, and Blue.

Those first 4 I listed are wasted ships. I'd like to see them replaced by Bond, Figueroa, and Grace. This defense needs a talent infusion in the front 7.

We certaintly could use another thread rather than post in the original commitment thread. JK

Honestly wish we had him in the spring to figure this question out.

I don't know if I'd add Kirby or Terry to the TBD both looked really good as the season went on.

Armbrister shows a few flashes and Gaines has been okay to solid. Your right though we need an injection of top talent.

I agree with you except Gaines. He's not a Miami quality starter but he can play a little and he's a hard worker. I like having Gaines knowing our lb core is hurt all the time.
