How much has losing Damari Brown hurt?

Same board that’s been trashing Bain since he came back from injury claiming he’s fat and slow gonna bank on Damari Brown coming back and making a big impact?

He is part of the answer to our defensive woes, but not coming back from injury like this. Whatever the injury was, it was obviously pretty significant. No way he comes in the last game or two and looks himself. Very unfortunate the season has gone this way for him.

We are in a bad way

I like Damari just not sure what to possibly expect after such a tough injury anyway

But I’m excited for the “REGRESSION” comments

If fairness, if he regresses from last year, he’ll be his brother and on the bench at FSU… because Brown is still all potential vs production.

Bain actually produced at a high level last year which leads to the regression comments now.

People don’t know what the concept of regression actually means. Its like how every other player is elite and generational

It’s not really something to debate. If someone says Bain “regressed” I think they’re prisoner of the moment type weirdos

Bain: No longer Pro Football HoF level = regressed

Brown: from Greentree All American to Poor Man’s Cormani McClain = Savior of the D

Ok now we are talking 😂

I guess in all seriousness when the defense seems so irrevocably broken and a guy like Bain can’t seem get traction (whether injury or regression or whatever we want to call it) how can we expect Damari to change that trend?

Too many guys on the defense trending the wrong direction at the same time for me to think it’s just the players. Doesn’t feel like our guys are being put in positions to succeed to me

Always been a fan of Guidry but this is on him in my opinion

Damari Brown averaged 1 tackle per game last year. He had zero int and zero passes defended.

That we project him into a player who would have meaningfully improved the secondary this year is baffling.

It seems very simple to just keep everything in front of the safeties and let the pash rush try to win/bow up in the red zone but I don’t get it
Pass rush has SUCKED
That is the problem
Front four are mediocre
I’m waiting to see Rusty Medaris and Kevin Patrick meeting at QB….Bain has been mid at best imo

We should be three deep at DE ALWAYS with long twitchy 250-265 dudes, I don’t see it

#1 priority is getting another top QB. Let’s not turn into FSU post- Travis. A great QB can make up for a lot of deficiencies. There after Ward wins the Heisman, we will get another top QB who will compete for the Heisman. I put DB as the #2 priority.
Mario now KNOWS what type of QB he needs that has the Alpha personality….im convinced Cam coming here has saved this program! Now they k ie the traits to look for and I believe it will help w QB recruiting for years to come
