How Lucky Was Miami in 2013?

So many misunderstand the article.

So many haven't taken Statistics 101.

Dear God.

Hey, I'm not the one who's butthurt and making excuses for every crappy thing that this coaching crew has brought us.

And that's all you have - excuses and ridicule of anyone who disagrees with you.

Worse than twelve year old girls.

Clearly, you didn't take statistics either.

Dear God.

Football isn't played on a spreadsheet, statistics only tell a small part of the story

Tell that to Vegas.

They had us pegged GOOOOD last year to the contrary of many posters here.

I know you guys hate numbers, especially since Golden's numbers are beyond suking, but the numbers will often verify what a skilled observer has determined through observation and intuition.

You see it, you think it, you run the numbers. Sure enough, Golden suks.

What numbers are you referring to? Or are you actually trying to use "luck" based statistics from a author who was clearly biased to hate on Golden?

Losing your best player who just happens to be one of the most dynamic players in the country is lucky? Morris getting hurt against Savannah St was lucky? Losing Dorsett, who's one of the best deep route runners in the country on a fluke reverse is lucky? Didn't we play Louisville down 4 WRs? The Special teams gaffs in the VT anyone?

If Duke doesn't get hurt we win at least one more, if not two more games. Does that make me feel better about the D, NO!!!!!!!!!!!! But we were hardly lucky.

Wat?

41-14
42-24
48-30
36-9

Which one, or two, of those blow outs would not have happened with Duke in the line-up?

Duke game was tied going into the 4th. Having to rely on Morris to throw the ball 50 times would put any team at a disadvantage.

Rushed for 28 yds on 24 attempts vs VT. Duke went for 100 on 11 carries the year before.

We were down every WR we had in the Lousiville game and rushed for 14 on 28 carries (.5 YPC...yes, that's .5 YPC).

Am I saying we win all of them them? NO! Am I saying AG is a great coach? NO! Am I saying that the defense wasn't atrocious? NO!
But if you don't think having Duke Johnson in the lineup would've made a difference in games you're crazy.

I'd start w 500+ yards given up about eight times last season followed by his number of DT recruiting misses

Well, Vegas has us as the favorites to win the Coastal and second best odds to win the ACC. Yet the mopers, who LOVE to cite Vegas when they are down on the 'Canes, suddenly don't want to buy what Vegas is selling. All of a sudden Vegas has to be wrong because after all we suck so much.
