Good stuff. Logical, mathematical.
Some of us already know how lucky we were last year based on numbers, and from watching the games.
Some of us already know that the schedule last year was mighty soft, and this year it's going to be tougher, regardless of the hopefully more developed talent.
F*CK YOU, YOU COMMIE PINKO GOLDEN-HATING CLOWN!
IF ITS NOT POSITIVE DONT ****ING POST IT![/QUOTE]
It's apparent you didn't read the article.
From the symptoms you exhibit, you're really frustrated with our coaching staff, but due probably to an incident when dropped on your head as an infant, you have trouble directing your anger in the direction you intend. It's a condition known as "Disassociative Sphinter/Frontal Lobe Inversion Syndrome."
It can take years to reverse this condition, but the first step is to force yourself to lock your mouth until you have more complete information, and lots of time to sort it out. Observation and then emulation of sane, rational, prudent folks will prevent you from coming off like an *** - which is part of the sphinter/frontal lobe inversion problem you suffer.
It should be noted that during this disassociation, you'll suffer limited Tourette Syndrome symptoms when you blow obsecenities out of your mouth at random. There is a Tourette Syndrome Association you can contact for help, although, as you mature this portion of your manifestations should gradually decline.
Good luck.

I believe you may have missed the sarcasm in my post good sir. I was merely beating the super-fan brigade to the inevitable "**** you, fake fan" response and/or post that was coming.
In any case, my apologies.
"Miami finished 3-0 in one-score games in 2013, including one of the luckiest wins I’ve ever witnessed in a cardiac arrest-inducing 21-16 win against Florida. (Thanks, Jeff Driskel!!)"
This is where I dismissed the entire article.

Agree, not sure how forcing TO's=luck. The defense gave a lot of yards but made plays when we needed them to.
In my experience, there's no such thing as luck.
Losing your best player who just happens to be one of the most dynamic players in the country is lucky? Morris getting hurt against Savannah St was lucky? Losing Dorsett, who's one of the best deep route runners in the country on a fluke reverse is lucky? Didn't we play Louisville down 4 WRs? The Special teams gaffs in the VT anyone?
If Duke doesn't get hurt we win at least one more, if not two more games. Does that make me feel better about the D, NO!!!!!!!!!!!! But we were hardly lucky.

Wat?
41-14
42-24
48-30
36-9
Which one, or two, of those blow outs would not have happened with Duke in the line-up?
I think the gameplan would have been a little different with Duke Johnson against VT/Duke both...but I think the VT game was just an impossibility and embarrassment of errors that caused that loss...Duke wouldn't have helped that much against them. However, we panicked badly after the run of turnovers against VT, and maybe having Duke would have enabled us to sustain a drive and calm down as a team...and maybe recover enough to pull that one out. Without Duke? We couldn't put together a drive for anything.Losing your best player who just happens to be one of the most dynamic players in the country is lucky?
