How good is Richards?

I'm trying to get a sense of his talent and what to expect from him.
How does he compare to these guys?

Watkins
Cooper
Ridley
Calloway
Rudolph
Coley

(I'm no expert. But I see him as better than Rudolph and Coley, equal to Calloway and Ridley but behind Cooper and Watkins...)

Hes not better then Coley, but he is better then Rudolph, and calloway. behind Ridley, Cooper , Watkins

agree with this, but think he can end up better than Coley due to the mental aspect of the game .

1. Cooper
2. Watkins
3. Ridley

4. Richards
5. Coley
6. Rudolph
7. Calloway

I agree with this. Richards is a better prospect than Coley coming out due to his size and ball skills.

Coley was 6'1, 175 lb's
Richards is 6'2, 172 lb's.

Size does not separate these 2 at all bro...also, both run in the 4.5 range...Coley is solid 4.5 Richards is 4.57 (on 247)

Stacy Coley had the god given talent to be as good as Watkins, Cooper, Ridley, etc.

Injuries, focus, effort, and a coaching Staff have kept him from it so far but I expect big things from him in richts offense and he'll be in the NFL no doubt

I need to watch more Alabama football games, I didn't realize people outside of CBS/ESPN announcers considered Ridley to be in the Watkins/Cooper class of player.

Swag, I think he's a tick below, but I gotta admit he's pretty darn good imo.

1. Cooper
2. Watkins
3. Ridley

4. Richards
5. Coley
6. Rudolph
7. Calloway

This seems about right to me. Coley could've been up with Cooper and Watkins if he stayed healthy IMO and wasn't just used on bubble screens as a Sophomore.

Calloway is better than Ridley. You have Ridley up there with Cooper and Watkins?.

He is just as good as Stacey Coley and that's who he plays similar to imo.
He;s below the eites of Watkins, Cooper...

But in the group behind that includes Stacey Coley, Calloway, Ridley. He has Kayaa to throw him the ball for atleast a year.....and he wouldn't be the option 1 or 2 early on here...but if given the chance kid will explode. He doesn't shirt here regardless.

Those guys are all pretty **** good. I'd put him in that class, which is enough. The rest comes down to work ethic and luck.

Stylistically, I would compare him to Coley, although I think he will be a little stronger and a tick slower.

Ridley is good but two things about him:

-Plays in a stacked Bama team
-Is 21 years old as a freshman

Richards is already right there with Ridley, expect him to be top 2 by the end of his time at the U with Watkins.

People will say Ridley played his true freshman season as a 20 year old to diminish his accomplishment, but it's still jumping to an entirely different game in terms of speed/competition/and offensive system. It's an adjustment.

He had a great true freshman season.

- Led a National Championship team in Receptions, Yards, and TDs
- Had over 1,000 receiving yards
- Finished 6th in receptions among Power 5 WRs
- Came up big in many of their biggest/toughest games.
_________9/140/1 in a close game vs Arkansas, 81 yard TD catch late in 3rd to give Bama their first score
_________5/120/1 against #8 ranked and eventual 10-win UGA, who finished with the 7th best defense in NCAA
_________8/100 vs 10-win SEC East Champ Florida with the #8 th defense in the NCAA
_________8/138/2 in a Playoff game vs #3 Michigan State and top 25 defense to help send them to the title game

Some of you really need to take orange and green glasses off......putting Coley in same category as Cooper/Watkins

Coley is a 1st round pick / Pro Bowler if he wants to be.

Immense talent.

Well up to this point I guess he doesnt want to be. He would have to have one of the greatest years in college football history to be first round pick.

This is certainly Watkins-Cooper freshman level...

Ridley is a great player, but his hype exceeds him because Alabama is a deity in the eyes of the brainwashed masses. He ran some deep posts after Henry hammered defenses to death. Coker throws a beautiful deep ball. Good match. Schemed up well.

It's not a question of talent. I think Richards is relatively as talented as any of them. It's a question of desire. That's what makes Cooper so amazing. He's fast enough. He's big enough. He has good enough hands...as is the same for each of the guys mentioned...the difference-maker that made/makes Cooper so amazing is that he works SO **** HARD to stay good and get better. That's Coley, Cager, Richards, Bruce, all of our guys need to remember.

Richards senior season :

51 catches 1037 yds 14 Tds

This on a scrub team.. basically we got a monster that will plat with Coley and Bruce at the same time.

Ridley was only eligible for 3 games his senior season because of his age.

This.

Coley has as much natural skill as any of those guys. We've seen flashes from Coley, but he just has no where near the consistency of Cooper, Watkins, etc..
