How good is ND projected to be when we play them?

At some point, you have to focus on developing the defensive line recruits: Scott, Jones, Blount, Lightfoot, Horton, Bain, and Rudolph.

I’m not as high on Moten as most people. If he doesn’t get pushed out of his starting spot by the talent already on the roster, it signals a serious issue with talent evaluation and development.

Also, it’s time to move Bain to the interior. I don’t understand the politics of keeping him outside, especially if his projected NFL position is on the inside.
You lose against ND playing the pups. This isn’t the time to play these games. Save that against Bethune and USF.

Who so u consider pups ? I’m playing the best players regardless what grade they’re in . We need De who has the speed to get to the qb . Dbs who can actually cover / lbs who can cover and tackles . So example if Wiley can do this better than what we have at lb , im all for change . I can’t see the same **** on defense again next year . People continue to fck up need to be benched for the younger ones who can make the plays

Exactly. You play the kids who give you the best chance to win the game and you don’t care one iota about seniority. So some of those kids just by the number of them, will be on the field in big moments on that night.

The fact that our most proven DT is a kid from LA Tech is a problem for me. The staff are straight clowns for doubling down on Horton and Moten. Bain doesn’t know if he’s a DE or DT.

Your best LB is Pruit. Enough said.

ND will be licking their chops against that front 7. Hope I get negged and made fun on week 1 for being wrong but…

How about we let the new DC do HIS roster evaluation and see how things go in Spring practice. Then we have another portal window to add a couple of ... hopefully ... contributors.

You are not wrong today. Concerns are legit. While there is significant time between now and ND, I think you'll still have your eyes on the same concerns -- do we upgrade in the portal at the positions of need? what does the development or progress look like with the new DC? -- while having a bent eyebrow for the greentree lies and hype machine...

How about we generate clicks today, then also after Spring Practice when we hear everyone is way better than before, the new staff is the **** and all new comers are super impressive to the staff, then even more clicks and conversation while we await the fall camp

That goes without saying but many new deals have already been done with current players before Guidry was even fired publicly so idk how much pull the new staff will truly have unless Miami is willing to spend the money to add players. I hope that is what happens.

Remember, several people in that building thought they had enough talent on Defense to be competitive but given our evaluation history on that side of the ball, it’s not surprising.

Very hard to predict anything on both of these teams for the 2025 football season. One thing is a certainly is that ND has a **** of a head coach who shines during the game. On the other head we have a meathead for a head coach and to me that makes a difference in the game.
