How do you guys feel about Desmond Howard being the WR coach

So this site not only has Canesport quality posters making retarded threads like this one, it has mods who delete posts. Outstanding

If a poster is attacking another poster then yes it gets deleted. Those are the rules feel free to read the thread at the top of the football board for the rules

Thanks Gary

Oh the irony..

Dorsey has coached at the high school level, trained athletes of all ages (pro, college, high school, and younger) at the IMG Academy, and coached in the NFL. So he has done quite a bit in that regard. He has been coaching and training people ever since he quit playing.

I don't think he coached in the NFL, just did some scouting.

He was a talent evaluator in the football offices with the Panthers, I believe.

The only bit of coaching, other than high school, was he did some work with Cam Newton not long after he was drafted to help him with Chud's system.

After Coker was fired I away remember some Canes fan that called into Big Dog Joe Rose's radio show and said he thinks UM should hire Dan Marino. Joe started laughing and said that Joe's 13 year old daughter has more patience than Marino. Joe said Dan is a great QB and knows football but that doesn't mean he can teach or coach players. He said Dan would get very frustrated if a QB couldn't throw the ball just like him and think like him and he wouldn't make a good coach especially when he finds out he has to work 80 plus hours a week.

What I got out of what Joe said being a player and being a coach are two different jobs.

When did Dan Marino and Joe's 13 year old daughter become doctors?

Good points.
This is what we need more from our former players who want to coach at the UM.
Get yourself exposed to different programs, schemes and coaching trees, not only padding
your resume, but also making oneself valuable to UM in the process.
