Good players who played on bad teams. Do you realize that we were only a defense away from a 11-1 season and a trip to the ACC title game and BCS bowl? Morris was not the reason we lost to duke and VT.

brock berlin wasn't great but he was more accurate and more consistent than morris . morris has nfl potential , sadly that potential didn't win games against good teams and most of the time he looked awful . Jacory didn't have nfl potential but he was better against good teams than morris

Agreed. Everyone ******* how the defense has been WOAT however when we lose a game it's still Morris' fault according to the "experts" on this board. I understand he's the qb and he takes blame but he's played outstanding considering the defense is the worst in our history. Take away the fumbles against VT and we win that game. Defense gave up 48 points to Duke... That's not Morris fault, 30 points should beat Duke. Morris didn't lose us a single game this year.

The second pick against Florida state hurt but ultimately I think the fumble was worse and we had no business winning that game anyways

Brock could only play from the shot gun and when he did he was very good. Under center he was a mess. Morris played most of his snaps in shotgun or pistol set and was inaccurate and predictable(out routes at the sideline or a deep ball). Id take Berlin over Morris Berlin had more heart and didn't look lethargic when things were bad. Only game this season i saw Morris really get ****ed/excited/passionate was the FAU game other then that it was quite the catatonic player.

In the remote event that Morris is drafted, even more remotely in a lower round, and should he get to play he will be eaten up by NFL defenses. His only chance at some success is to play behind one of the best pro OL's in the league. In my opinion, in college he usually looked inferior to almost every opponent's QB (yes, I understand our D was a big part of that).

A big arm is not as important to a QB's success as is the ability to move the chains.

I remember telling my friend that Tim Tebow was a great athlete and great college football player but a lousy QB. He was irate. Time proved me right then as it will with SteMo.

Some years back I was having drinks with a group of friends and talking football when I began to criticize a former UM QB. One guy at the table that I didn't know, nice guy, said "I'm _______" and I quickly shifted my remarks to say that he was "exciting" to watch. Morris has been "exciting" to watch, I hope my expectations for him are wrong, I wish him well.

Brock balled in 04.....if he played the way he played that yr instead of trash like he did in 03....with that 03 defense we would have won the chip.....neither lsu, oklahoma or usc could have seen us with that defense. Both times we gave up over 20 points that yr was because of him....all those pick sixes and fumble returns for tds was because of him

Thats an ignorant statement. So Ken Dorsey is the best qb in Miami history? Morris isn't near the top either but he gets way too much crap for the teams down fall. We have had arguably the worst defense in the history of the program the last two years while Morris has been the starting and he's gone up against two teams who went on to play for the title (ND and Fsu now) Dorsey had arguably the best defense in college football history Brock had an amazing defense in 2004..
It's not like Morris was a five star recruit like kyle Wright but somehow people expect him to be the next Peyton Manning.

He played well enough to get drafted this coming year which is something no other hurricane qb can say in what.. Two decades almost?
