How Do We Fix This?

I wouldn’t at all be surprised if next year our defense is lights out and our offense struggles and we’re back in the same situation of having one unit playing great and the other being not so good

Not saying this will happen but for us Canes fans, isn’t that the way the ball bounces for us?

Guys, this doesn’t get fixed under this staff. We will never get an opportunity like this again under these guys. We had our shot, and we failed with the best QB that Mario Cristobal and/or the University of Miami will ever have. Our ceiling under this staff is an ACC chip appearance, and we couldn’t even reach that so unless we unrealistically attain a ridiculous amount of talent that surpasses what we just wasted, get ready for 7-5/8-4 next season.

How do we need a whole defense in year 4 of Mario the recruiter?!
 
Nothing to fix. We are going to have to be happy with 10-3, 9-4 type seasons. I cannot imagine we will ever field an offense like this again EVER. Cam was our Crablegs but we squandered the opportunity with a sub- par defense. I imagine the defense will get better as Mario can recruit but our opponents will never be as poorly organized as they are this year. I will ALWAYS root for the Canes as an alumni and I will ALWAYS donate to the university. Reality is, the private schools are just not going to be able to compete with the Joe and Bubba state schools. We have navigated NIL about as well as anyone and balanced that with development. Our best is just not good enough. Our year will always be “next year”

Sorry be so glum, but reality is exactly this.

This money will dry up. It’s like a toy. People will get bored.

You don’t spend if there is no return. Luckily Ward was worth it. That won’t happen often.

The offensive line is more than fine, we are loaded at running back and tight end, we have a freshman All-American at cornerback, we have a bunch of young, promising defensive linemen. You are in your feelings.

I don't even think Mario is an amazing football coach. I just think he has leveled up our talent. QB in today's sport is a portal position. 8 of the Top 15 quarterbacks in QBR are transfers (and that is including the kid from Army and the kid from Navy).

Take a cold shower dude.

Rodriguez but can play center and the recruit from Gorman is the best center in the country. Can always use more DT and DE but we have promising young guys there. OT is maybe the best position on the entire roster.

Just admit that you are a little sad and that complaining online makes you feel better.

Guidry has to go. The D didn't improve at all as the year went on - that's inexcusable.

Play like Georgia Tech. Martinez Martinez Martinez then Lyle. Run the play clock to 5. Repeat.

Idk, I'm not completely out and I'll tell you why.

Pre-season, 90% of ppl said 10 wins is the prediction and for the most part the expected win total. Fact of the matter, the roster is not built. It took Kirby multiple years to build his roster top to bottom.

Mario did show something this season that nobody expected. He adapted away from his caveman offense. To me, that was always the biggest hindrance he had. With that corrected, we had the #1 offense in the country.

Now, things we need:

1. We NEED to continue to stack top 8 classes. Idc how, we need to finish strong this next week and get into top 8. Otherwise, were not on the Kirby track.

2. Guidry, yea he needs to go. I just can't get on board with the continously dropping a DE into coverage, being out leveraged, and stunting all the time. We also seem to not allow Dline penetrate bc idk how this dline didn't create more havoc this season.

3. We don't need another Cam. Would be nice, but Dawson has now had two very successful QBs. Clayton Tune and Cam. One is a first round pick and the other not. So the offense can put up points. No where I dont understand him, is why we don't run outside. We did it once last game (and i think all season), and it looked great. I dont understand why that isn't more a part of the offense.

I **** sure don’t want to start a true freshman at Center when it has so many responsibilities

No, has nothing to do with the outcome of the game

@Shooter McGavin this guy says OT is the best position on the roster next year 😂😂😂

It’s what I’ve been saying all year
