Here’s some cold truth for you

Bags or not, what high caliber offensive recruit would seriously consider us right now given the product we've put out?

The fact that we snagged Payton and were even in the conversation for Haselwood shows what a sniper Dugans is. We had n electric player like JT4 and couldn't even figure out how to get him the ball. Shoot, when AR was healthy we underutilized him, too.

Riley is jumping at the first chance he gets whether its the cowboys or not. He's the big name rn and he is gunna leverage that
Lets see

As long as the infastructure is there at OU then they good, they not playing anymore either and tired of being 2nd. They took a next step when the new coaching staff changes, some coaches allow things others dont.

With Riley almost certainly heading to the NFL, if it wasn’t about bags then Haselwood would wait till February to sign. If it’s what you naive fcks think it is—Riley invented football and every offensive player must play for him—then he should wait two months to see if Riley is still there.

He can go ahead and do his little announcement on TV but don’t sign. Odds are strong Riley bolts, and that’ll happen as soon as the NFL season ends in a couple weeks. This is what should tell you it’s the bags and not Riley.

Why not just wait to sign? Because the bag is the bag, and they won’t take it back after Riley leaves.

Hall of Fame type post here.

Exactly, this is the wrong recruit to point out bags are the determining factor. Why in the world would any WR trust Richt with his future after seeing what happened with JT? Easiest pass in history

Point of the post should be an easy one to follow. Riley is awesome, but there’s a huge chance he’ll be gone to the NFL in a few weeks.

Why not wait until February to sign if it’s not a bag game. If you’re just picking OU because Riley and the offense are awesome then wait to see if he’ll still be there in February.

I hear ya or you choosing a program whose administration cares about winning and they will spare no expense to make it happen. Look I’m with you but this crap all falls at richts feet.

With signs pointing that Murray is for sure going to the MLB there is a big dropoff to the next QB (unless they get fields) so I'd expect him to strike while the iron is hot here

I'm not going to mince words: anyone who thought Haselwood was coming here is totally ignorant about recruiting.

They have a direct connect with pops. Tennessee is garbage, and he doesn’t like Spermy Fart (maybe Fields helped poison that well). It’s not that hard to figure out. Biggest bag doesn’t always win. Best bag wins. OU is the best bag right now for him.

Point is if it wasn’t a bag game then he’d wait till February because the heat around Riley bolting is real.

Interpreting the dsddcane posts it's b/c CMR's big move is to promote either Dugans or Brown to playcalling and that Kosi is the starter so Jarren is transferring and Hasselwood is going to OU as a result.

So according to everyone we were his choice until a few days ago. That doesn’t sound like a bag game to you? What changed at either program over the last few days? Nothing.

It's hilarious how naive some posters are. Nothing has changed at Miami or OU in the last week. Why else would momentum pull a 180?

I got some cold hard truth also. Programs dont need bags to win recruiting battles against us anymore. It would be a waste of money. Any solid recruiter at a winning program can be richt and cast of clowns without bags for most top recruits down here. Bags are reserved for going against the Clemsons and UGA's of the world.

Recruiting vets on this board said over and over again not to count this guy as a part of the class. The cretins and Pollyannas don't listen.

Oklahoma has been a factor for a while. Not that I'm gospel or anything, but I told the board this at least a month ago. They started making headway once our season began to unravel. That's what I was told. I've also been told that the staff still thinks they get him.

I'm not quite sure why there hasn't been any Oklahoma smoke in the past month. But they've been a contender for a while.

There was a time that I bought in too, but I knew his recruitment was going to start getting real around this time of the cycle. That, and Richt didn't do himself any favors either. Had he brought in a legit OC, Richt might have something else to sell Haselwood.

Unfortunately, and this is not a knock on you, Macho. But I don't take the staff's confidence on any respective recruit seriously. They seriously do not know how to read kids. This strikes me as one of those situations.
