Henderson

Let's wait to judge Seantrel long term. Pulling for him big time, but suspect or worry that he's prone to distractions.

It's sort of funny reading many of these posts like it's Kehoe's fault. Heck I am not an Al Golden fan or most of this coaching staff's at all but lets be honest here - shouldn't players be held accountable too? What if Seantrel didn't practice hard or skipped meetings at UM, is that the coaching staff's fault for his poor work ethic? Maybe the fact he's now getting paid or maybe sees how much he can make being a top LT in the NFL, has a much smaller string on his behavior it's finally lit a fire under this guys ***. But in all seriousness which one of you sat at practice to see what this kid was doing? I bet most of you weren't there, are armchair quarterbacks and have limited knowledge of what it takes. That's my guess. But by no means does that make me someone drinking the kool aide for this team. I don't think we're that good!

The only one to blame for Seantrel for underachieving at UM was Seantrel no one else but him.

This, Golden tried to get the kid to grow up, but he kept getting in his own way. Good luck to him in the league, hope the fins have 6 sacks all on his side though.

I love how guys think that 4 years of coaching has nothing to do with a player's performance as a rookie in an NFL training camp. But a few weeks with NFL coaches will make all the difference in the world. Sure. Reality check -- if the kid wasn't taught properly, he would have no chance of doing what he is doing right now.

This is not Sam Shields needing two seasons to learn basic technique and schemes. In fact, it's the antithesis of that. Henderson was clearly prepared well. He just didn't give a sh*t until money was involved.

The Kehoe shuffle doesn't necessarily mean he was moved from RT...it means we would randomly be subbing him out for Feliz Navidad (another overrated JAG) randomly and not letting him play there the entire game.

Henderson only shuffled between LT and RT, and ultimately ended up playing the majority of snaps at RT because of two reasons: an injury that affected how he planted his leg and the fact that he was more comfortable on the right side.

Also, his conditioning (or lack of) is the main reason kid couldn't stay on the field for more than a few series at a time. Playing football as a job and having it be your everyday life probably was the best thing to happen to Seantrel.

Real life can be a great motivator. Too bad he was too stupid to avoid weed when he knew he was going to be drug-tested before the draft. Obviously that was the coaches fault too.

It's not the coaches responsibility to baby Seantrel into weening off the weed before the draft, that's his job.

Just another example at how bad this staff is at player development and player deployment on gamedays. Anyone with half a brain could see that kid was a potential monster.

You like at a kid like Ray Ray Armstrong as another example. A guy who was miscast here from day 1....never should have been a safety and many of us said that going back to the year we recruited him out of Sanford.

Another victim of the Kehoe shuffle and middle school mind games this staff uses.

Good for him wish him nothing but the best.

He was a victim or immature as **** syndrome don't play that ****. That weak using art as an excuse. Not saying he's an amazing oline coach but seantrel was unmotivated period end of story.

While I agree with this post, Henderson was also his worst enemy while here. He admits to smoking weed and it being a problem while here, but as others said, he was dominant while on the field. I'm not a fan of Kehoe as a coach, but this is one guy he couldn't ***** up.

Another problem with fans and him was the amount of hype he came in with. Top player in the nation as a recruit on some sites and no worse than top 10 on all. I suppose he would've had to eat people out there to make everyone happy. He protected the QB as well as anyone since McKinnie here and his QB sacks allowed suggest as much.

I find it interesting that someone said he was moved to RT because of an injury that wouldn't allow him to play LT. Perhaps I missed it, but that's the first time I've heard that.

Final thing, if anyone is shocked he has the talent to have a long and productive career in the NFL, you don't know football. I told you, if he stays healthy and keeps his off the field issues in check, he'll collect a paycheck for 10+ years.

I don't blame the coaches for Henderson.

The dude quit his own pro day.

This is a simple case of a guy getting motivated by money. Happens all the time.

Another great even handed post by the Jedi. Ray Armstrong was another guy who Al forced to be a knucklehead. Al kept getting poor Ray into jams off the field causing him to get suspended and ultimately dismissed.

Certainly, if Al had moved him to LB, he wouldn't have posted pictures of himself hanging out with an agent eating steaks at expensive restaurants.

People need to make up their minds.

Do they want a disciplinarian who is going to hold guys accountable, or do they want a guy who's going to be lax and look the other way when guys are dogging it and violating obvious rules?

The next solid post you make will be your first homeboy.

You're either too dense or too stupid to realize that the Ray Ray Armstrong reference/shot I took at the staff had ZERO to do with his off the field issues. WHEN he was on the field...he was being played at the WRONG POSITION. Even if Ray Ray never would have gotten into trouble...they were going to CONTINUE to play him at SAFETY cause that's where the CONSISTENTLY kept lining him up in PRACTICE B-E-F-O-R-E he got suspended.
