Head Coach Candidates

I never said it was a good hire. Makes sense given the midwest connection and the fact IU struck out on a ton of other names

Cut the crap.

You DISMISSED his accomplishments at Drake as if they weren't worth anything, as if he was not even qualified to be considered at Miami, a school with a fraction of the basketball history/tradition of Indiana.

And now you are acting like because he is from the Midwest and Indiana "struck out" with other guys, he is somehow acceptable.

What a load of horse****.

McCollum has been a head coach since 2005. He wins games. To be so dismissive of him ("It's Drake") is just ridiculous. You should admit it, take your loss, and try to salvage your credibility.

I don't know if any coaching hire will ultimately succeed or fail on the first day he is hired. But I **** sure know that McCollum is qualified to receive higher job offers.

How is me saying that the hire 'makes sense' mean that it's acceptable? He's had a meteoric/unprecedented rise the past 12 months from D2 to Drake and now potentially to the high major level.

Would I hire him if I was Indiana? No. But this is also an AD is Scott Dolson that hired Curt Cignetti, which there are some parallels to draw. That's what I meant by, 'this make sense'.

Go take your Midol.

Again, you could take your L and try to rebuild your credibility, but you seem to have a toxic combination of stupidity and arrogance.

Let me lock you into your insane comments, before you backpedal and move the goalposts again.

You are trying to tell us that it is UNPRECEDENTED and "meteoric" for a guy to spend SIXTEEN YEARS as a head coach in Division II, and then get a job as a head coach in the Missouri Valley Conference? That something like that has NEVER HAPPENED ("unprecedented") and is the result of some rapid rise of 16 years ("meteoric"). As for Indiana, we don't know if he will get the job yet. But he is certainly QUALIFIED, as a 17-year head coach.

Hilarious. You never learn. You never grow. You just keep spouting bull**** like a geyser. You don't evey try to qualify your bull**** with phrases like "in the last 25 years" or "in my lifetime", you just pump out absolutism like diarrhea.

And you wouldn't be getting this treatment now if you hadn't behaved like such an arrogant ******* from the beginning. As you lectured and insulted people who wanted UM to pursue a coach with HEAD coaching experience. You told people that they "didn't know the game" or "didn't follow the game" as you acted like YOUR PERSONAL CHOICE for a head coach was the only possible outcome. And that if anyone else didn't agree with you, they were ignorant.

So now you get to eat your own **** with both hands. Don't come at me with "Midol" jokes. You can act like a man and acknowledge your mistakes, instead of clutching your pearls when you've been proven wrong.

It aint that serious. I'm not 'wrong'. You're not 'right'. It's message board opinions. It'll be ok, I promise.

Opinions are one thing. Facts are quite a different matter.

Stop lying. Stop insulting people. Stop getting triggered when other people are right and you are wrong.

And you are undoubtedly wrong.
