Jeremiah Smith is already better than Marvin Harrison was at Ohio State.I agree, but 2 years ago Marvin Harrison was the best in College Football.

to be fair, Marvins Sophomore season and Smiths Freshman season were pretty similar.Jeremiah Smith is already better than Marvin Harrison was at Ohio State.
I would prefer to keep Dawson for continuity but he’s not some untouchable coaching genius. His offense is great when the QB is dominating but so is everyone’s. I was less than impressed with his response to TVD’s issues. A great coach finds ways to work around player shortcomings.CIS told me the Dawson is overrated/mid anyways & The #1 offense ALL Cam ward and nobody else. now ya'll dont want to lose him?
Aside from the obvious extra year experience, Harrison had CJ Stroud at quarterback. Smith had Will Howard. Harrison is a fine player but he’s not the athletic freak that JJ Smith is.to be fair, Marvins Sophomore season and Smiths Freshman season were pretty similar.
Marvin:
77 catches 1263 yard, 16.4 clip, 14TDs in 13 games
Smith:
76 catches 1315 yards, 17.3 clip, 15TDs in 16 games
Marvin did it in 3 less games.
Elite based on what? Not being a smart A, but you don't think Trader, Moore, Toney are elite? Of course they aren't Smith(who is in last 20 years), but I would say they are at least really close from prospect standpoint.
I think it's more SFE than Harline recruiting South Florida honestly, but that's me.
And what great OC has worked around TVD's shortcomings?I would prefer to keep Dawson for continuity but he’s not some untouchable coaching genius. I don’t dislike him. He’s better than most coordinators we’ve had. I just don’t think he’s anything special. He’s fine and he seems to get along well with Mario which isn’t the easiest thing to ask an OC to do.
Now we are just making **** up.I mean I clearly distinguished Smith as above them, I would say elite elite
Toney had offers from Alabama, Florida, Oregon
Josh Moore's official visits were FSU, UF, UGA, Miami
Trader had offers from most all the big schools, but obviously had a tie to Miami.
So you want me to believe that osu won't be scouring the earth in the spring for WR help?Elite based on what?
If they were Elite, the Coaching staff & the fanbase wouldn't be clamoring for us to add another WR in the Portal for Spring.
He's Mr. "throw **** on the wall and hope it sticks"...He's wrong more than he's right..
TVD pretty much couldnt read defenses not much to work around lol you can try n keep him to one read but once defenses took that away he was cooked, not sure what u wanted the OC to do at that point other then bench him(which he essentially was) TVD also hasn’t figured it out anywhere else either so not sure that’s an indictment on Dawson.I would prefer to keep Dawson for continuity but he’s not some untouchable coaching genius. Did he have a bounce back season in Wisconsin that we don't know about?
Toney hasn’t even stepped foot on a college field yet lol great prospect but there’s no way you can label him elite right now lolNot being a smart A, but you don't think Trader, Moore, Toney are elite? He did look good under lashlee but once the film was out and defenses realized he excelled versus man to man defense & playing zone and forcing him to make reads resulted in Interception parties that was all she wrote for Mr. TVD.Maybe it's selective memory but I thought he had pretty good games under Lashley. It seemed the hurry up tempo and easy reads suited TVD better than having to go through his progressions in a more slowed down pace. And he is now back with Lashlee so will be interesting to see what happens over there because he is not a clear starter at SMU.

The type of recruit Mario will get to stay home once he gets here.If they are elite what is Smith?
Good luck with that. Greentree All-Americans are the best All-AmericansPlease stop labeling our players "elite" until they actually do something noteworthy on the field. Let's just hope our guys are "good".
You’re right maybe lashlee can get him to be a decent system QB for him as he’s the only OC to get some type consistent play from him, but imo he’s just not all that good of a QB, we’ve seen him under another coaching staff @ wisky n by all accounts he couldn’t even really separate himself from the backup there smh I personally ain’t gonna scapegoat the coaching staff for him looking like here.I think that was minimized some because as long as Lashlee had the pedal to the metal it was hard for defenses to adjust on the fly and make substitutions. Once Lashlee got you in a particular look his style of no huddle offense and tempo took advantage of it. Once things slowed down some under Dawson's offense you started to see the issues you are referring to.
