You think TVD is gonna suddenly become a starter at SMU & play better than he has at any point in his career?
I didn’t think he would suddenly become a starter at Miami and play as well as he did either.

Also, it’s not that TVD was/is a great quarterback it’s that he was struggling with something and our QB coach’s answer to it was…. Run the ball? Worst case scenario you bench him for the backup but we saw that and the backup was even worse. So we’ve had three guys start games for us at quarterback. One guy was a finished product and he was incredible. The other guys needed coaching and were mediocre at best. It’s a good thing we’ve got another finished product coming in next year.

Facts if they didn’t hire Chip they wouldn’t have won though. Sometimes I wish people that talk about OSU would actually watch them because Day is not a good play caller

Watching our fans ***** about Dawson and watching Day call plays was hilarious. Yall would have lost your ******* minds in 2023
Yea Day should stick to CEO like Mario he’s elite at that. Just don’t call plays, you have to be real bad to ***** up an elite roster unless you run into the same type of roster in the playoffs

There are quarterbacks in the NFL that struggle to read defenses. If you’re a quarterback coach and your quarterback is having issues with certain coverages, do you just throw your hands up and say “oh well?” When you’re calling games on the sideline and you see the defense is played by a coverage that your quarterback is struggling with, you call plays to attack that coverage. The whole “TVD just couldn’t throw against zone” argument is hard to believe. The dude never saw a zone coverage until his third season in college? Find the problem, make steps to fix it. That’s what good coaches do. Anyone can coach players who don’t need coaching.
I agree w some points you made but you can’t blame coaching for every single player that fails...it’s one thing to struggle to read defenses it’s another to consistently turn the ball over and throw multiple INTs a game & constantly putting the ball at harms risk which is literally killing your teams chances of winning. No QB coach on earth is coaching a guy to blindly throw it into the flat late as **** against cover 2 resulting in a easy pick 6, At that point you’re a liability and should be benched vs a QB may not read defenses well either but can hurt you in other ways like w his legs & and has the wherewithal keep the ball out of harms way to where you aren’t handing the other team 3-4 extra possessions a game. What we saw from TVD his last year here was a complete meltdown between the ears(maybe the yips) they weren’t going to magically turn him into an INT free difference maker @ QB mid season. We clearly saw what this offense was capable of when we had someone who was elite at understanding coverages and making the right decisions with the ball(for the most part) Just my opinion tho 🤷🏾‍♂️

I expect Beck will also look much better in this offense then TVD did also

Running the ball is the better answer when your QB keeps throwing it to the other team the hoping he’ll figure it out a couple INTs later

Day is a great fundraiser (according to OSU folks)

No shock that they finally won one when he got out of the way
