Key words: at some point.Georgia, LSU, Bama and Ohio State were all on him at some point. I’ll look at that before their star rating.
Yeah, a kid can perform at a high level for several years in college and still be rightly rated as a 3.Key words: at some point.
Star rating is basically a compilation of who offers a kid, combi;ed with a bit of spin amd measurables. If Alabama, Ohio State, UGA and LSU all offered him and still wanted him, he would not be a 3* recruit.
No knock on him, he’s a decent athlete NY kid who needs to develop.
There arent that many four stars. He’s properly rated as a 3*. Good frame, good athletic ability, but plays in new york, low competition, wasnt a camp circuit all american.
People thi;k 3* means mediocre. It’s not really true. It’s a big pool of kids. Some are rated there because they lack upside athletically. Others because they lack high level results on the field (think nyc football plyers). Some because of injuries, or they are recent to football (maybe switched from basketball, say). Some play at small schools and missed the spotlight. Some didnt make the camp circuot. There are plenty of different models of 3*. JHH seems like he has upside, but he’s not underrated. Blissett is a better athlete, also, imo.

8 patriot starters were 3 stars, 3 were 2 stars and 5 were unrated the rest of the 22 were either 4 or 5 stars. That shows me it's pretty much a crap shoot and at least half of the kids coming out of HS haven't grown up enough to rate them. JMO
Bama had multiple in home visits with him and LSU was linked to recruiting him this month as wellThose schools are "all on him at some point" with HUNDREDS of players over the course of an evaluation period. Its called recruiting.
At the end of the day, his only real offers are from Miami, Penn State, and UVA.
He's a mid-tier Power 5 prospect. That is why he's rated a 3* player. Could he be much better? Sure. IMO, I don't think so. I think he's a nice projectable rotational interior DL. But its not like he's a bum by saying that. Just saying...he's a nice 3* prospect...just like a hundred other players.

All I said was they had multiple visits with him that’s it. You don’t waste time like that if you aren’t interestedIf he were a take for them...he'd be a take for them.
He's not.
Why can't he just be a nice projectable player? Why do y'all need to make this into more than it is just because he's going to Miami?
Love you man but you're a huge homer. He is underrated.
Stars are overrated. They depend on the opinion of people like Mike Farrell.
Offers are properly rated. Offers and stars usually match up, which is why stars have some value when you look at the data.
In Hunte’s case, he has offers from Alabama, Ohio State, LSU and Penn State. He is a basketball convert with a thick frame and high draft potential.
Hunte would be a massive pull and should be a four star.
Love you man but you're a huge homer.
The tayquan johnson dl kid going to clemson is also a 3* kid, and i’d take that kid over hunte. 3* isn’t an insult. There just aren’t that many 4* kids.
Re Hu;te, it would be a real reach to call him a 4* kid based on what people can realistically know today. Call him a 3* kid with a 4* ceiling athletically, if he develops. He’s not a true plus athlete at the spot. Blissett is a better athlete, imo, just in our own class at that spot. He’s not that explosive. Not a nesta type. Not low enough to be a leverage guy. He’s a solid body, solid frame, solid athlete, upside but has not played against quality competition, which matters, and didn’t dominate the summer circuit and so is relatively unknown ability wise. He’s not established as one of the top DL in the country. He’s a guy who looks like he could become tht good. That’s a 3* kid, imo. In any case, whether Alabama really has a spot for him or not, I’m more skeptical than you.
Saying hes not explosive is a lie, one if the main reasons we are looking at him, is bc of his quickness.Love you man but you're a huge homer.

That 2% doesn’t sound accurate at all.It’s not.at all.
2% of 3 stars Go to nfl vs 70% 4-5 stars.
There are exponentially more lower ranked guys and those in the nfl are the needle in the haystack.
