Brady wasn't a scrub. I actually liked him better athletically. But Harris has great body control and will be an asset for Kaaya. Poor man's Hank.

He didn't really stand out speed-wise on his film, but he's 6'3 so you don't exactly need to see that imo. He beat his man 3 times on a hitch and go in the highlights, that's a good asset to have. Shows good ball skills and adjustments with the ball in the air. Good body control, which is usually an issue with taller, lanky receivers like him.

He'll be competing with Cager for the starting spot opposite of Coley, with Richards seeing time there as well (Richards will play several different spots this year, then take over Coley's role as a sophomore imo).

I like this kid. Seems like a typical Mark Richt WR. 3 years to play. Better than Langham that's all I care about. Also, an upgrade to Tyre Brady.

JUCO highlights showed he's good at down field blocking and he barrels over people. Also was returning kicks. Giving our roster we needed this.

Agreed. With Kaaya at QB, you keep him upright (our OL was awful last year yet he wasn't sacked much, just hit quite a bit. That needs to change), give him targets, and let him go to work we will be fine. We just can't be short at receiver. That's literally the only thing that could hold this offense back next year.

These were absolutely brutal to listen to. Gotta love them southern folks! Hope the kid comes here and competes for a job. We need the bodies - simple as that.

watch his film, no way he has 4.4 speed

Not even close. He's a 4.65-4.75 range, but he has body control, size, and ball skills. You don't have to run a 4.4 at 6'3 200lbs to be successful. Especially with Brad Kaaya throwing you the ball.

He'll be a fine addition to our roster that can contribute right away. I liked his hitch and go route, he won 3 times in his film off that alone. Let him master 1 or 2 more routes and he'll be a chain mover/ good 3rd down and redzone target.

Ole Miss is pretty good at evaluating and bringing in good all around WRs lately too. He was there in 2014 and supposed to go there again this year.

4.75 speed? that seems like a stretch.

either way, kid is not nearly as slow as some on here are making him out to be. He’s a big receiver. Not everyone is in the Calvin Johnson mold. There are plenty of Anquan Boldin esque receivers out there that we should be happy to have, especially considering out depth.

I was just trying to make a ballpark guess. I'd say 4.65 but it's tough to judge. My main point here, he's not running a 4.4, but it's not a big deal because that's not his game. He does other stuff that we need on this roster

As others have noted, not a burner. That could be ok. I think his game will be using his body on the edges and going over the middle. Will need to work on getting in and out of his breaks but seems to have good body control and catches with his hands.

Time in a Division I weight and nutrition program could do him wonders.

Reminds me a bit of Alshon Jeffery.

His qb didn't seem to help him out much, this kid is going to be glad running routes for Kaaya.

I saw on a few websites he was a 4.4 ish guy @ 185 lbs coming out of HS. Another site I saw showed him listed at 205 and 4.69 right now. The latter seems correct. He lacks acceleration but his top end speed isn't that bad. He won't pull away from defenders, but he'll be a solid possession receiver. Like you mentioned, he high points the ball well and has good body control. He appears to run block well and isn't afraid of contact. He's a take all day long. Let him come in an push Cager and Langham for playing time, can only make the team better.

^^ This. I think a pretty good comparison. Similar body shape and ball skills. Hopefully it doesn't take until his last season for the light bulb to come on fully.

I don't know about Brady being better athletically. This kid was returning punts to the house while in highschool. I don't recall Brady ever doing that in HS.

I like his juco film a lot more then his HS tape. Definitely not a burner but decent speed for his size, good route runner, strong hands, good blocker, he's the type who will just get open and move the chains. Good red zone option too, love that he has 3 years to play. Will be in the 2 deep from day one. Nice pick up at a position in need of bodies. Now, let's reel in JC.

with the level of talent Mark Richt put into the NFL from FSU and UGA, i will trust his evaluation. he is not taking this kid if he thinks he cant get on the field. he dropped numerous recruits (some this board loved) and is cleansing the roster. this is not an on the job training situation.

Dude is sssslllloooowww.

JAG

Speed does not equate "JAG" status. Some of the best receivers we had weren't exactly burners. ****, some of the best WRs ever weren't very fast. Y'all get so hung up on straight line speed. I don't give a **** if this kid can run a 4.4 or a 4.6; does he run good routes, use his body to position himself and catch the ball with his hands? Good body lean, balance and cuts? Is he reliable on 3rd and 4th downs? Does he know how to get open, read coverage and knows how to use his splits? There is more than one way to skin a cat, especially at WR.
