Gurvan and Jennings Gone

Naked Gun Panic GIF

“But, but, they are playing hard for Manny!!”

Nope! They are playing hard for themselves and each other. Not the head coach.

When kids loaf or don't make plays or are lazy, it's the coaches' fault.

Also, when kids play hard and work and make plays, it's because of them and has nothing to do with coaches.

I just hope some of you realize how absolutely insane a lot of this is. My wife makes more sense than most of you.

I get Hall leaving but Jennings was still getting plenty of burn. Weird, but you do you kid.

What are you talking about?!?!

People here say the kids love Manny and are playing hard for him. One of the reasons they are winning. I disagree!!

There is no depth at LB, one injury away from Hall getting PT back and their years are burned already in terms of eligibility. If they loved the coach, they would stick it out. They are looking at health and ready to latch on somewhere next year.

Really wish it didn’t take Manny so long to make decisions on the betterment of the team..

I guess this is what happens when you get a guy that has to learn on the fly..

The better career choice for him, would of been to go to Temple, learn and one day get a job like Miami..

Ah, blaming the players for not being able to "figure it out". Typical scumbag remark. It's your job to teach!! If you can't hack it GTFO. The worst position on the team has been manned by the HC for the past 6 years. Coincidence?
I’ll give you that the last couple years LB been bad but for Shaq and Pinckney’s 4 years LB was definitely not our weakness.

Along the way we’ve had some pretty unfortunate injuries that really stressed the Lb room. Wilder and Steed both guys that I think if healthy their whole career have us looking pretty solid. Shoot you can throw brooks in their too as far as injuries disrupting development.

If you land one of Tolan or Wesley with Medlock Tyler Johnson & Keontra with Flagg as a rotational guy and not a starter that room doesn’t look so bad.

And you gotta assume we grab one out the portal. As manny alluded to they probably would’ve grabbed an LB out the portal this past year if number crunch wasn’t so real.

I don't want to turn another thread into a Manny-bashing thread. There are already enough. But how bad are evaluations if a guy goes from a day 1 starter and fixture on the D to the bench to the portal in less than a season? It's just bewildering to me.

Happens everywhere. ****, look at Spencer Rattler. Dude was on the Heisman watchlist.

There's something very wrong with the culture of this team. When older players get passed up, they just leave? Like midseason quit on the team? That's four of them now. I get being ****ed, but work harder and support the young guys and move on at the end of the year.

It's making it seem like Manny was being stubborn about playing the older guys to avoid a full on exodus and locker room meltdown and it's his fault it got to that in the first place.

Let’s be real here. Hall was always straight mierda when it came to coverage. But his tackling, well he was the top tackler last year no? What the **** happened this year? It almost looked like he needed contacts or something his vision was so bad. Honestly seemed medical to me. Maybe Banda leaving? It’s wierd.

Couldn't even stay on the team and contribute on STs till the end of the season?

Hate it. Quit on your team. Like you ain't gonna get more PT somewhere else this season, so why quit the team.

Just don't get the mid season transfers. I must be missing something.

You gotta think the lack of coaching/****ness of it got into his head. Wasn't playing with natural instincts. Probably overthinking it all.

Gurvan had the physical traits though. Jennings was absolutely basura
