Greg Simmons commits

75% of these kids will not be in the class if Golden is still the coach by November.

Sincerely,

Travis Rudolph, Jordan Scarlett, Alex Collins, Keith Bryant, Dexter Williams, etc.

Valid point. I wonder WTF the selling point is here. Someone on the side saying, "Man, just get in on this class because there's a **** good coach waiting after Golden..."

Seriously can you sit back and listen to yourself. You guys are grasping at straws here. This logic is basically that of a defeated lame *** fan who has no idea what it means to play for the U. Have some pride. These kids want to play for Miami and they want to be the class that turns it around. Wouldn't you want to do that if you were in their position?

I am not one to tell people how to be fans but I for one am not going to wish loses on my team just because I don't believe in the coach. If a chimp was the head coach of the U I would root them on and hope for the best. If Golden gets fired because he can't get it done, then so be it. If he turns things around winning games and is retained, then harray, we back. Some of you are suggesting if he wins, you still want the ship to blow up and I can fathom that.

You do realize that their are trolls on this board, right? Social media is such a major factor with these kids that it would benefit teams to put trolls out there to back up their own negative recruiting tactics. Simple people are like sheep. Plant the seed and the dumb asses will follow almost every time.

Lawson saw kayaa whos a freshman and thats all she wrote

Ur boy should take notes with all those 5 stars at his position, that fsu degree isnt worth nada to top it off

Exactly... Why would he come here? He has no shot at starting in the next few years. None.

So now I guess we blame the fact that Golden got us a stud QB in Kaaya and complain about a kid who is scared of the comp heading to another school. How about you wipe those tears and catch your breath and when you can clear your head enough to look at the situation logically come back and lets discuss it like unemotional men.

We beat out Bowling Green and Charlotte ?

This is everything thats wrong with Canes fans. Absolutely clueless and just talk trash to join the sheep heard of negativity. This kid will have lota big offers soon enough.

What is it do we not offer early enough or now do we need to wait until enough other big schools offer before we do?

If you point of view defies all logic and contradicts itself and then always falls on the negative side then what are you really doing? How is your goal any different than a troll?

A few years ago i would want to stack the team at every position...but now and admitting I'm being selfish and a recruits parent i want my child on the field...with that said if i was Lawsons parent i would not want him to come in and call plays into Brad... He could come in and compete but im thinking this is Brads job for two more season and that is if he doesn't forego his Sr season...i know it sound selfish but sometimes you have to be.

To TheGoldenEra,

Do you believe if we win with Golden, these guys will split?

You lost me with "win with Golden" It what universe does that happen. I think these kids are committing assuming Al is gone. Nothing else makes sense except they are just baiting fsu and sec teams into offering them.

They're committing to an unknown, that actually makes a lot of sense.

Thank god shaqs starting from day 1 and we won't have that problem

Shaq is gonna have to work to start day 1 the road is up hill... Shaq will not shy away from competition I've made him do it his whole life..in pop warner he always played up ..the youngest kid on the team....and never was he allowed to use his age as and excuse. ..I want all of these LB to come in hungry and wanting to get on the field...that is going to make Shaq better..the LB corp better...the defense better...the Hurricanes better...

These kids want to be Canes they will play for Al or the next Coach... But...there is always a But... But the next coach has to have a resume or some form of confidence to sell these kids... A nobody come in because he was on sale...this class splits like the red sea... But they will play for Al or they would not have committed

excited but lets talk at this time next year. Lets save the thread. Anyone negging skeptics needs to be banned if this class falls apart. I for one would take a month ban if the class remains intact. We all know that aint gonna happen. So funny how some phans get excited and worked up year after year...setting themselves up for the inevitable crash and burn.

If you have been around for sometime and still falling for this ****, I applaud your persistence. I dont buy this ****. AG and staph have never ever provided one glimpse of hope that suggests they will ever be able to win or out recruit when it counts. They are the best recruiting staph May - December. Jan and Feb, when it counts, they are the worst

Not everyone wants to feel like a miserable POS year round like you. The audacity of fans getting excited, we should just all be haters right?

I admire your humility but the cards have already been read. Shaq will be the next in line once RKirby is gone. We haven't recruited a "thumper" type LB in this class. Pinkney and McCloud look more like OLB types. Maybe Simmons but he will prob need to redshirt. Unless we offer DThompson from CEN I don't see how Shaq will not be playing from Day 1. We don't have anyone else and he will be physically ready.

I can understand the go were you can play perspective but that is also not always best. Going to a school with quality QB play and competing will prepare you better than going somewhere with no proven QB play. Most of the NFL ready QB's I can remember, played a few years under another and then had their time and then blossomed. It happened at FSU, it happend at Alabama. It happens at most of the schools that develop quality QB. Miami is trying to get back to that. What Brad did last year was rare. A 4 year starter at QB is even more unique. If Kaaya throws for 4000 or more yrds and 30+ TD's the next two years, he is gone. Lawson would have gained alot from all the tutelage that got Brad to that level and he would have carved out two years of his own and followed him. It a matter of perspective.

Look, i think a lot of these guys will stick no matter what happens. But if we do not win and Goldens axed i know some kids will bolt. i feel like Gil, Rasual will not be Hurricanes when all is said and done anyway. Most of these kids are committed to what they know can be built at UM if the talent stays home, not Golden.

Just look at Braxton Miller. Its reality. If your a big time QB you dont go to sit. Kid thinks he is big time. QB is also a much different position than any other position.

Then how do USC, Ala and FSU get elite guys to come in, compete and potentially sit? Its all about perspective. Some kids believe they get better by competing against others and some feel they have to go somewhere were they can dominate from day one. Smart QB's understand that in winning programs, you will have to compete and potentially sit.

What elite QBs are sitting at those schools? FSU has their next QB transfer to Alabama after Jameis won his Heisman.

There is only one spot open for a starting QB. Every other position is different (other than a FG kicker).

Didn't Jameis sit his Freshman year. He had to battle Trickett, Coker and McQuire to start his second. Nothing was gauranteed for him. Alabama has Cooper Bateman, David Cornewell in tow, and Barnett on the way. All three will potentially sit behind projected starter Coker. Once Coker's gone, all three will be battling and I am sure Ala will get another stud QB to come next cycle.

Your pushing two different stories...

Its a lot different to come in and compete with other guys who have not proven themselves on the college level then it is to come to team who already has a proven Freshman stud QB.

The freshman Stud QB is almost always a definite recipe to ruin the next years QB class.

Often times when you have class of 3 stud QBs, one if not two of them will transfer once they don't win the job unless the coach is promising them packages.

If you sign with any top 10 school they will have depth so I can't say that's why Lawson or any other top players didn't sign with us. I think it's simple, we don't win enough, we don't play in big time marquee matchups, we aren't necessarily exciting on either side of the ball and many don't feel they will be developed to their potential.
