Golden Today

Make no mistake guys--Seantrel will play. He'll be in the rotation with Ereck Flowers and Jermaine Johnson at RT early on, at worst. Two funerals in the past few weeks have knocked him out of practices, which is why this is even a question. He's not going to the Bahamas on vacation in the middle of Fall camp with both middle fingers extended at Golden while doing so--keep in mind that people lost their lives that Seantrel was close to. This isn't him going home to feed chicken soup to his grandma b/c she has a cold or some ****. It's not the exact same thing--but no one questioned how Golden handled Jo Jo Nicholas last year when his infant son died, did they?

Golden's a stand-up guy, and he understands the loss of family and friends like any coach who preaches "family" to recruits SHOULD. That's why he hasn't said stuff about Seantrel's status with the team being in jeopardy--because it shouldn't be for stuff like this.

Just chill out fellas--Seantrel's not going anywhere.

Every funeral I've been to lasts a couple hours at the most. Seantrel has chosen to miss all of the fall over what is at the most 2-3 days of funeral time. It's all about priorities and Seantrel's number one priority right now should be football and it's not.

Also, If Seantrel had handled these funerals properly then he would have been in the lineup once he got back. All I've heard is that he's on a bike during practice and getting a little bit of walk through work. That doesn't sound as though he handled this properly.

Well at least Seantrel has people that will continue to make excuses for him in his corner. Meanwhile Flowers is quietly busting his *** with the ones and isn't going to give his position away easily.

The team is only going to have 5 two a days this camp and today is number 4 and Seantrel has missed all of it. Keep thinking that's just fine and dandy.

Nobody is saying it's good from a football standpoint to be missing all this camp, it's obviously awful, but as far as excuses go, it doesn't get much more solid than funerals and a car accident. You can't do much about that, that stuff is outside of his control. Stop hating on the kid and hope for the best.

Difference is, there's been no report of who actually passed. The lack of information makes me a skeptic.
Honestly though--what business is it of ours? He's had a loss (or two), let him deal with that privately.

Being skeptical about Seantrel's future as a Cane, just because we're nosy about the relationship between Seantrel and the deceased is just craziness.

It was a friend and an aunt. Not exactly the same as losing your infant son. Kid's a ******* drama queen. And the car accident was his fault, he was cited for driving without a renewed license, and some other moving violation which means he's irresponsible to boot. He has a pattern of bad decision making. It's time to move on.

Mike James was back at practice for a meaningless bowl game THE DAY AFTER his MOTHER died. Some people prioritize and use loss as a motivator, and some people wallow in the drama and let it bring them down. It's true that everyone has to deal with loss in their own way, but if that is how he chooses to handle loss, then he can't be surprised that someone hungrier takes his spot.

It isn't just because of two funerals and a car accident with Seantrel. Again, people claiming that are marginalizing his poor decision making. The kids been nothing but drama since the first time Seantrel ever even had Miami on his radar. I remember when Randy had to wait on him because he had to get his hair done. He was also part of the smoking and joking crew with Storm Johnson and company who were shown the door. I look for trends and if Seantrel was a stock I would have never bought it and if I had bought it I would have sold it after he was late getting back summer workouts because of the first funeral. You're mentioning funerals two and three and the car accident.

I'm not hating on anybody. I'm just a realist and Seantrel hasn't shown good judgement at all.

Yeah I know, it's always something with Seantrel. Question, what was he doing driving on a suspended license? Let me guess, he had no idea his license was suspended? I never have these problems.

What the **** was a Minnesotan doing 45 minutes south of Coral Gables in HOMESTEAD? There is nothing in ******* Homestead and it's not like any of his boys live there.

True Swords...but suspended license or not has nothing to do with injuries sustained in a car accident.

Seantrel's pappy is still trying to be a big time rapper so he told his son he needed to have a couple of run-ins with authorities to validate his realness

Again, I'm into trends and it has everything to do with it. He can't make practice because of these funerals and is so broke up but he can make it down to homestead on a suspended license when he gets back rather than to dive back into his playbook and get to work. It's all about priorities and Seantrel doesn't have his priorities in order. Notice how you don't hear anything about Flowers other than working hard and getting first team reps? See the difference?

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me what a Minnesotan is doing all the way down in Homestead, where there is nothing for anyone that doesn't live there.
