Golden still in play at PSU!

From a poster on Scout, seems about right...

my old law school buddy lives in Happy Valley. He said Franklin was offered the job a couple of days ago. He had a 2 day deadline and waited until the last hour and accepted the PSU job. I guess he will be there 2 or 3 years and bolt for NFL and Al will again become a candidate for their job. He said that Franklin was on his way and will have a presser tomorrow. He thinks Golden was their second choice.

LMAO @ people agonizing at wether they should root for us to do better next year. Are you guys F*CKING KIDDING ME? Why wouldnt you want our staff to improve? If we are stuck with them, we should want them to get better, and hopefully FIX what's broken so we can WIN. Are people here that f*cking stupid that they WANT the team to lose a bunch of games next year, just so they can get a coach fired 2 years from now? I mean I know we have some f*cking retards as fans, but this really takes the cake.
 
So Ferman will post tomorrow, during PSU presser with Franklin, that Golden is staying in Miami... and his disciples will say "he nailed it."

And furthermore they are trashing the program, coaches and administration. Good thing in realty this is a small vocal minority. It's actually embarrassing. It's like we need the NCAA breathing down our neck or a Shapiro to deflect the hate off of the people actually working to improve the team.

Of course I'm going to root for this TEAM, but I can tell you in my opinion, with this Dcord, and Als trends it won't be much better. Giving up 500yrds a game over 5 games, teams setting all time records against us, uninspired offensive play, low energy.We all know these things are a direct reflection of there coaches. We all know it needs to change on the Defensive side. But instead we here some BS about trends. *** trends we need wins!
 
Well I guess we'll know tomorrow. If Franklin isn't officially introduced as the new head coach, Golden is all that's left. Vanderbilt won't let Franklin go easily.
 
Speaking of coaching. What a heck of a job Larranaga is doing with our basketball program Very well coached.I am more impressed with what he's done this year with all brand new starters Almost knockoff #2 Syracuse

And the roster has absolutely no talent , imagine what he'll do next year with the incoming guys and Burnett returning

And more impressive. Ranked 12th in the nation on defense ! Yes. 12th on defense!!!!! ! He's amazing this coach !. Taking the fight to North Carolina now

/LULZ... psu board has people going to the airport private hanger to see if gets off the plane. They say either way he's their coach and it will be announced.

HUH? Minority? Did you happen to see the poll that was up on this site for 3 days running? at last look the "nay's" were up to 54% for Golden LEAVING. As far as trashing the administration, please elucidate me on how many successes this program can boast about from the past decade? This administration has botched 3 straight HC hires, weathered an NCAA witch hunt which only came out favorably b/c the NCAA overreached, and several parties crossed lines that tainted the sham investigation. They've made two very poor extensions-- one of which they made at the end of gun when they were less than forthright with the HC.

Yeah, I want them to improve, but at a certain point you have to know what you have, and when your HC refuses to acknowledge there's a problem with the defense (I don't need to elaborate here) and refuses to make much needed changes-- and the problem happens to be his best friend, I'm not sure why we're not entitled to scoff and call BS-- the stubbornness and utter incompetence isn't something I have a lot of time for. Enjoy the next 2-3 years "hoping" for improvement. It isn't coming. And if miraculously we contend and eat top ranked teams you can call me out, and I'll eat ****. Would love to be wrong, I fear I'm not.

How can we confirm he was not on the plane? Did PSU just fly down to show him the contract? Did he put his daughters to bed then get on the plane? GF said the new coach was on the plane!!
 
Looks like they went to meet Franklin and bring him back to be announced tomorrow.

Flight was delayed...maybe he got cold feet.

He wasn't on the plane. Wild stuff.
