LULZ at dudes taking the time to argue with DaU83. You must have absolutely nothing to do to be mixing it up with that guy.

So are you all of you Golden haters going to root for us to lose next season. How does that work? After talking soo much **** about the man, it would seem weird supporting his team. I don't see anyone who is happy with our defense or how we performed in big games last year, but to act like Coach Golden is just ****ing away all this great talent is a joke. This past class is the first class as a whole that looks like what a Miami Hurricane recruiting class should look like.

Golden has proven to be a garbage coach but you can still root for the team. Anybody that's openly roots for his/her team to lose because of a coach is an *******.

+100000

Although we can go to far with the criticism, you should never root against your team... I haven't been impress with the staff... Especially since they have virtually repeated everything the prior staff has done with a new name... That being said, just win!!! If they win we know improvements are being made and issues are being addressed...

Lets be honest our defense struggled last year... Against BCS opponents we gave up career yards... Yea USF, FAU, and SSU made us look like world beaters but everyone else had their way with us with underwhelming talent..

That being said, if someone voices their opinions regarding the staff why do many assume that they are rooting for the team to lose? Who actually roots for their team to lose?

Gruden? Leach? Strong? Lol! What would they have done the second they caught wind of the impending NCAA issues? Don't bother responding. You know the answer. The fact Golden didn't bail then is enough reason alone for me to give him the benefit of the doubt; ...the continuously improving records and recruiting classes thing aside.

Btw, I forget, was it Golden' s fault that Morris was hobbled most of the season and we lost our two most explosive players in Duke and Dorsett? Is there any doubt that those three staying healthy would've been worth at least one extra victory? That would've been a 10 win season. Probably still not good enough for some, I know.

This is the first year we will have any kind of depth resembling that of an upper echelon team, imo. So I'll reserve judgment for now.

idk which stance will make me more popular and get me more reps, so I will choose to not have a stance.

I think Al golden is a terrible coach and he will win a national title this year.

I think Al golden is a great coach and we will finish below .500.

I ran out of PBR.

Therein lies your problems.

Which game would they have won? Sure there is doubt cause the games we lost weren't close

Extra victory against who?

I don't care what Golden did during the NCAA thing...he still has an obligation to win games and put forth a better showing on the field on Saturdays. The NCAA cloud excuse has nothing to do with the way he coached games which is the issue...... Coaching.

You can reserve judgement if you'd like but there is enough evidence out there to see for anyone who undertand the game that coaching is severly lacking and it got worse when Fisch left.

Fun stat:

Golden has won 22 games at Miami.
Except for Georgia Tech in 2011 (5), every win over a BCS opponent came against teams with at least 6 losses.

So, we are only 13 recruiting classes away from expecting the university of Miami football program to beat some average teams.

Hang tight guys,

Really? Getting your doors blown off in year 3 four times is inexcusable.

This is not temple.
this is also note butch davis' Miami.. this is Miami post Coker and Shannon.. none of that was going to get fixed with 2 recruiting classes.

Coker and Shannon have nothing to do with the product that is put on the field and how it's coaches. It's year 3 for Golden and people still like to bring up former coaches. You have no idea how weak that sounds. There is no way you played football talking like that.

Here's the problem. The previous coach, directly affects the next coach, why? Because the next coach still has to use those players.. People were blaming coker for shannon's downfalls well into year 4 and they weren't even taking into consideration that randy was on that staff recruiting the players shannon had to use.. the point is.. 8+ years of futility isn't going to get fixed in 2 recruiting classes, especially when the previous coach not only recruited poorly, and didn't develop well..

Here's the problem with your post. You mentioned Coker as well as Shannon. None of cokers players are here. Most of Shannon's guys are gone. This past year most of the offense was made up of Shannon guys mostly. If golden is this great recruiter that you claim why can't Goldens guys surplant these players? Doesn't make any sense. Either you're a fool or Golden is or both.

I also find it hard to believe that anyone was blaming Coker for Shannon's issues in year 4. If one or two people did, it doesn't make it right for you to do it for Golden. Its stupid no matter how you look at it or what excuse you come with.

Don't act like Shannon didn't leave any talent for Golden cause he did. You like the nfl as a barometer right. Compare the players from Miami and Boston college and tell me whcich team had the most talent? I doubt you have the guts to do it. You can add Maryland in their too and make sure you include the suspensions.

Your excuses are going to run into each other and you will end up making yourself look real dumb.

your questions is why aren't sophomores and freshman not supplanting upper class guys? really?

Wanna be a miserable football fan? Mistime your extreme vitriol against a coach or QB. Nobody is gonna give you credit for being the first off a bandwagon and at best you won't enjoy victories/success and at worst you'll be ridiculed by other fans. I'm not saying to not have a breaking point in which you're actually hurting the program by still tolerating mediocrity (see Corch post the USF home loss) but if you hit that point so soon after the delusional high of 7-0 then you might have a quick trigger finger. I realistically don't see how some people on here would enjoy a successful season this year but that's moot for now as they're too busy guaranteeing it won't happen.

We could have something special this season, run the table with some major luck here and there, and end up winning the whole **** thing...and people would still find something to bytch about. Some folks are just miserable no matter what the scenario.

I don't foresee us having that happen realistically, but if it did--there would still be folks on here saying things to the effect of--"We won, but this was a weak year in CFB, and we were more lucky than good", or "I don't know how we won a national title with that defensive scheme...it's still garbage", or "Look at all the Seniors/Juniors we're losing, there's no way we can sustain this. 6-6 year coming up in 2015", or "These guys overachieved and will come back to earth next year. Golden/NoD/B. James/Shalala will see to that". I mean--you can just see it coming from a mile away...that stuff would get said by someone who's a miserable enough person to think it up.

I don't doubt that those same folks love the program and are true Canes fans...but they'll always have a bone to pick and a voice to whine with, just because they don't like that it didn't go down the way they predicted it would.

anyone with brains knew last season was a 8-10 win season.. .. we start 7-0 and then all of a suddenly we should run the table.

The only option for the perpetual naysayers would be to deify Coley if they hadn't criticized him as severely as Goldenofrio in the past. Coley understanding how to get the most out of a redshirt freshman QB or a senior with limited abilites was the only reason we were able to have any success in spite of Golden still wishing he was in State College and D'Onofrio being a waste of life. There will be no way to build on this fluke of a season though. Promote Coley to HC and bring Corch back to run the D.

Yea really. Didn't you say the previous coach didn't recruit or develop well? If these guys sucked so bad which is what you"re basically saying then why can't Goldens guys, who are superior and more developed, surplant them? Btw, golden has been here three years so that's three years worth of players unable to surplant the previous coaches garbage. Why is that?

there's no argument. Because i'm right.

You haven't been right about anything. Your silly comments are running into each other. You claim Shannon couldn't recruit or develop yet after 3 years of recruiting Golden can't find guys that are better.

i think you'd find that guys are better, talent wise, but that does not mean they are physically mature enough to take the role.. Talent wise, deon bush was better than any of the guys that we've been trotting out at safety..but then he got hurt... and wasn't fully back last season either.. maybe if deon hadn't been forced into action until he was more physically prepared, it'd be different..

I'm not sure when that became the thought process, we can't expect 20 guys that either just showed up to college, or did so the previous year to be ready to take on the full load like a guy who's been in the program for 3 -4 years.. now if you can't see the talent of the young guys, and aren't smart enough it takes time to get those guys to speed.. that's not my problem.
