I love how people say "but we blitzed vs ND and it didnt work"



We ran 5 or 6 blitzes and they were either from the safety or CB, not at all what we needed at the time to counter what they were doing, which was running it down our throats.We needed to load the box and FORCE them to pass the ball and beat us with there freshman QB

that sounds great in theory.... but then everyone would be here complaining about why are we playing man when we don't have dominant corners.. and no one can cover etc.etc.etc..etc.. people are going to complain no matter what.

Weve given up 500+ in almost every game.....I dont think anyone is gonna say it could be worse, were ranked 118 out of 120

So we have ****** CBs and DL....so instead of blitzing them were gonna jus let our DL who gets no pressure no help and our ****** CBs have to cover them even longer because of lack of pressure???

the best qb we face the rest of the year is logan thomas, if i could be the dc, i would just put 8 in the box, put the db's on islands, and say **** it.

theres no way we would be worse off than we are now.

We blitzed ND and gave up major yards.

Those are not the blitz packages we needed. We need fire blitz and Zone blitz packages.

City, in another long diatribe, you stated that we should simplify the defense. Now you are asking for fire zone blitz packages? You do realize that you just asked to play press coverage (man) while using zone blitz packages?

First, we don't blitz enough

Then when we blitz, it is the wrong blitz packages.

And by the way, we have used plenty of zone blitzes this year.

Where you bring the zone blitz from is the key.

You also can play man on the outside and zone underneath
