Georgia High School football runs the show

Doesn’t take away from what you said. I agree that Florida is the most naturally talented player to player wise. But they’re always gonna be on this list based upon that. There are way better football teams out there though
Yeah, but these rankings will always be influenced by the level of teams you are playing.

Like Sitkowski at IMG back then.

Very much so Texas. Georgia can’t compete. Florida has the most natural talent, Texas right after but Texas kids are machines. Much better coached. A 3 star here will always come in and do his job if developed
Corey Flagg is the perfect example of why Texas kids are setup to succeed more in D1 football than the majority of south Florida kids

Mercenary teams. "freelancers". We play like AAU basketballers.
Honestly that’s probably the biggest problem right now that is plaguing this program. These dudes have been mercenaries senses they were in middle school. Always having the option to transfer schools if they didn’t play or things didn’t go their way.

It made them not be resilient, prideful, buy into a program for the long term.

So what lol the one thing I have learned that is shocking… is that most of these nfl guys.. are trash coaches/teachers. But they get all the natural talent to come to them to “learn” but really they didn’t do a thing.of course that’s just my personal opinion but others share it
Being an NFL player does not make you a good coach. I don't even know how that is up for debate.

Yeah.. but since they have a brand name they get all the talent to flock to them.. and then in turn they get propped up as great coaches or teachers. Not saying their aren’t any.. but I’m not the most impressed with who was just named

I'm sure there is talent in Florida. Not like there was in the 80's and 90's, but there is still talent and the NFL numbers bear that out.

But I think you have to be extra careful in Florida to recruit kids with the winning mentality. The culture down here makes kids soft more than other places. So it's about recruiting the right ones, not just the ones who run fast and have the measurable s, but the ones that have the right mentality also.

I've been saying this for years. For as long as I can remember there's been this weird culture around youth football in Florida, but Florida and the FHSAA have unwittingly disadvantaged these kids with these transfer rules. It's all good when things are going well, but why do the real hard work of trying to improve your game or elevating your teammates when you can just pick up and leave to a ready-made contender? Going to full-out open enrollment in 2017 didn't help, either. It just made the transfers even more accessible and frequent.

Facts. It's tough finding those that meet those criteria and haven't been corrupted by the local handlers & 7 on 7 trash owners.

I mean yeah and no. Sometimes the rankings are done based on the amount of natural talent on the teams as well. There are Texas schools not listed that are better than north shore and Duncanville this year.
I’d love if it Guyer could get a chance at them, but they will prolly Div 2

Go check what those American Heritage coaches have put into the nfl recently....the same coaches!. lol **** they got more coming still....That school pumped out more than certain whole cities and states recently brah lol

But i do get you ...for the most part the nfl coaches set up at the "it" school and the talent flocks to them

Pat Surtain is now coaching in the nfl.

Chad Wilson has gotten 2 of his kids drafted somehow...and trained countless other dbs that end up going div 1/nfl. If you were a db ...American Heritage kind of had it made coaching wise.

Heritage likely has one of the better staffs down here...i cant even hate on em. Like St Thomas imo leaves alot to be desired at times.

We can debate it back and forth but football is a frat. I’m supposed to be shocked Ps1 an accomplished player in his own right is a nfl coach?

All I’m saying is show me the names of the kids who probably were not gonna play D1 ball if they didn’t get their hands on them lol

That Baltimore/DC area is really tough right now. And got the h2h results to back it up. It's basically the whole tidewater area recruiting I believe

I wonder how it would be if James Williams had the coaching Flagg got coming out of high school
He would be much more polished to say the least. Houston North Shore is a powerhouse program in Texas every year with much better coaching than Western in FT Lauderdale.

But overall no I still say Florida high school football runs the show and will always run the show.

The amount of talent that comes out of the 305 on a yearly basis is quiet astounding and insane. It always has been and always will be. Sure some teams in TX and GA may be better coached but they’re not as talented. I’d put Miami Central or Chaminade up against any team in either of those states.
