Idk what is true and what isn't. But Alabama has to deny they were first to call. Beck entered with a do not contact designation.

Stockton almost looked like the equivalent of Emory. So of course they wanted Beck back.
The article is interesting regarding UGA recruiting as a whole. They have had top 3 classes for several years. Yet they canāt seem to sign quality receivers or QBās. We all know Bennett was a walk on. Then you have Beck. But outside of that, QB recruiting has been putrid since they signed Fields, who never really played there. He got out of there as quick as he could. So there are chinks in the UGA armor.

Oh I agreeā¦ and not just from a historical point either. Since Iāve gotten on the other side of 40 Iāve come to find itās pretty common place for men of means to make high dollar business decisions based upon how the chick āthey dip their stickā in feels.
If I recall correctly I believe Mark Richt said he interviewed and was offered the HC job at Pitt while he was the OC at FSU. Talked to his wife about it and she didnāt want to live in Pittsburgh so he turned it down. While not in athletics I know a couple of guys who turned down high paying C-Suite roles because their wives didnāt want to live in a particular cityā¦ one of the wives didnāt even work
