Some kids don't train in running the 40 but have game speed and just know how to play the position.
Solomon is a great LB with elite instincts at the LB position and I definitely want him in this class over Eaford.
Everyone likes to bring up size as such a huge deal with LBs, but they don't realize that our best LBs came in as Fr around 5'11 - 6'2 190 - 205.

They will add size when they get here.
For a LB, the most important thing is how quickly he can read the offense and react.
It usually takes guys who grew up rushing the passer like Brooks and Eaford a while to learn to be a LB (like MRob and McCord), hopefully both focus on playing LB this season to prepare them for college instead of just continuing to rush the passer.
In HS I started out at DE and transitioned to MLB, so I know the learning curve that takes place when having to learn to read OLinemen first then into the backfield to locate the ball, or drop back into coverage all in a split second. There is a lot more thinking once the ball is snapped at LB than DE, and that usually has guys plying slow if they have to think too much.
Guys that have played LB for years develop those instincts to just be able to read and react without thinking too much.
And for the guy not too impressed with Pierre b/c he plays weak comp, please realize that I'm not watching the kids he is playing against, I'm watching Pierre and his instincts at the position, they are elite, along with him having great size and speed for the position.
He is dominating that weak comp as he should. Can't ask for more than that.
I would be much more upset missing out on Pierre over any other LB on our board.
