He said there is interest but he isn't sure if the staff will fight for him. He didn't say he wasn't a take.

Over here poRsting away while you neglect your teams in the real life WEZ NFL mock draft. SMH.
Let’s see, Rian Davis weighs 233 right now before his senior year in HS...
You all know it’s absolutely no way he doesn’t outgrow LB, right? This kid is a DE all the way. He would be a 6’3 250+ edge rusher for us.
I went to HS with Glenn Cook and Jon Beason. I always remembered that about Cook. He wasn't the fastest or the strongest. But Glenn knew how to sift through the trash could see a play develop before it actually developed.
He wasn't on the level of guys previously mentioned in tyrn's post, but he definitely is an example of a kid who can get to a ball-carrier before a speed-demon because he snuffs a play out early.
With linebackers being so close up to the line of scrimmage, unlike safeties, a guy who can see things well without a the benefit of a bird's eye view is very clutch to have.
Post of the Week. You nailed the nuances of playing LB perfectly. How quickly one processes the play is infinitely more important than their 40 time.
That doesn't mean he isnt a take. It just means they are not going to get into long drawn out battles over him but if eaford was to tell the staff today he wanted i doubt they tell him no.“He didn’t say he wasn’t a take”
This is what I'm thinking. Like a Harold Landry type.Let’s see, Rian Davis weighs 233 right now before his senior year in HS...

Eaford is 6'2 220 and can run sideline to sideline. Kid played with Rosendo Louis and another div 1 lb last year at Deerfield and stuck out like a sore thumb. He is the real deal. Believe that.
Is Eaford a better take than Pierre, I know Pierre did well at Paradise camp and is a top central Florida recruit. But is he a better take, if Eaford really wants in?
Where do we stand with Huff & Davis?
or the viper position it’s ok though y’all still think that’s what Sam is gonna play.Davis is a perfect OLB for a 3-4, but might be a DE in our scheme.
I feel like we want someone with more length at the ViperHuff is believed to be a lean

Anthony Solomon measured 6’1 200lb in Miami 3strip in Feb.15th about a month agoYea that's the thing i'm not sure about. But he seems somewhat receptive...and if we rack up wins a lot of kids are gonna try to ride the wave. He seems like one of those types. The coachings staff at DB are front runners though and don't think any of them are canes fans. But talent wise you wont find much better than Eaford at Lb in S. Fla based off of film and level of competition.
I'm honestly not that high on the sta lbs other than Huff. Huff is the rangy type with growth range..think of Wilder.
Solomon is 6'0 190 and runs a 4.8 40 yd. Brown is about 4 pds (6'0 195) heavier but runs better than Solomon. Both are about the same size as corners were currently recruiting. Jordan Battle the FS is bigger than both and faster.
Rian Davis, Eaford, Huff are guys I would prioritize.

Davis is just like Joyner
I’m with you until you said Pierre over any other LB. Solomon is the best of the bunch if you ask me.(In fact other kids in STA were part of that team Like Battle, Ingraham and few more)in Florida(Broward)team that beat Utah for the 8th grade University National Championship. Anthony Solomon is a Champion and has won at every level. So to me he is the most important because winning is in his blood. 2 time State champion. Enough saidSome kids don't train in running the 40 but have game speed and just know how to play the position.
Solomon is a great LB with elite instincts at the LB position and I definitely want him in this class over Eaford.
Everyone likes to bring up size as such a huge deal with LBs, but they don't realize that our best LBs came in as Fr around 5'11 - 6'2 190 - 205.
Ray Lewis
Johnathan Vilma
Sean Spence
Jon Beason
Denzel Perryman
Dan Morgan
They will add size when they get here.
For a LB, the most important thing is how quickly he can read the offense and react.
It usually takes guys who grew up rushing the passer like Brooks and Eaford a while to learn to be a LB (like MRob and McCord), hopefully both focus on playing LB this season to prepare them for college instead of just continuing to rush the passer.
In HS I started out at DE and transitioned to MLB, so I know the learning curve that takes place when having to learn to read OLinemen first then into the backfield to locate the ball, or drop back into coverage all in a split second. There is a lot more thinking once the ball is snapped at LB than DE, and that usually has guys plying slow if they have to think too much.
Guys that have played LB for years develop those instincts to just be able to read and react without thinking too much.
And for the guy not too impressed with Pierre b/c he plays weak comp, please realize that I'm not watching the kids he is playing against, I'm watching Pierre and his instincts at the position, they are elite, along with him having great size and speed for the position.
He is dominating that weak comp as he should. Can't ask for more than that.
I would be much more upset missing out on Pierre over any other LB on our board.
Davis is even more athletic. But both are alot alike. With Davis actually having experience playing in space.
by the 3rd play i was SOLD...jezus...Yall remember Willie Williams???
