Ge’mon Eaford

I love Rian Davis' tape. And I think he can play LB. If you watch him, he moves really well in space, he identifies the play quickly and is very fast to the ball. I'm not saying he won't move to DE, because that's certainly possible. However, I try not to insist on certain size parameters for every position. I think a 210 pound LB can play at Miami and I think a 245 pound LB can play at Miami. More important than weight is the skills for the position, which I think Davis has in spades.

Exactly. Th eguy doesnt move like he is 230+. There isnt a lot of wasted movement or stiffness. I think he is a lB here if they want him there. Hes built similar to Mccloud. IFrom watching the highlight film, you can see him diagnose a play at LB and get to it..RIGHT NOW. The 2nd or 3rd play he actually sifts through traffic extremely well and closes on the ball carrier. I think he can be a SAM or MIke here...and a good one.

The bolded hold um offers. Shows the talent off that squad. The underlined are kids with div 1 offers already.
Not to kill your opinion but to say Solomon is the best of the bunch because hes a winner....i mean how hard is it to win at STA on a recruited all star team (and they still didnt win sh*t last year). Try Avery Huff playing for a Mca team...that got like 15 kids poached from them from the playoff team the year before. Huff film still looks ridiculous. Solomon though is a very smart, instinctive player with that pedigree. You know what your going to get with him. He isnt going to hurt you on defense.

I like Rian Davis the most, followed by Huff and Eaford.
You might be on to something, I need to revisit the film room again. It’s just that I’ve just been following this kid for a while and see like you mentioned how instinctive(smart) he is. He has a nose for the ball even though he ain’t the biggest he has heart. I love the way he plays and has a great family(Great Mom) I guess I’ve become attached and would hate to see him go anywhere but Miami. I feel you on Avery Huff he is outstanding and is now a STA Raider as well.

I like my linebackers fast. A style similar to Ryan Shazier comes to mind. Which of the guys we are recruiting brings the most speed? Thanks!

That freak Rian Davis ran a 4.6 at 230 pds last month.

Brooks is a sub 4.6 guy as well at 200 pounds. Solomon ran a sub 4.3 (4.24) shuttle run which is very quick. I would say in terms of play style Sam Brooks is alot like Shazier. I think all of the guys they are currently in on can run...with Solomon being the slowest of the bunch..but having a very good shuttle time.

Davis is even more athletic. But both are alot alike. With Davis actually having experience playing in space.

by the 3rd play i was SOLD...jezus...Yall remember Willie Williams???

Maaan, Davis is an LB. A jumbo LB with package versatility(can definitely line up at DE in speed rush packages),point blank period. Sure he may have the size of a WDE, but he's more than fluid enough to play in space and thrive at OLB. Can you imagine the **** Diaz could cook up on defense with Rousseau, Davis, and K. Smith on each level?!?! That's wildcard ability all over the field. 3 dudes that could be doing anything at any time. Davis & Huff are my favorites among the uncommitted guys...

High school Shazier or NFL Shazier? Im guessing the former since he’s an elite ILB, calling plays and playing like a big Free safety with thump. I’m a Steelers fan is all and I’m wondering if Shazier had a similar JR/SR transition like Brooks.

I love arguing over good problems to have. In a few years we’re gonna have Jo Jax, Garvin, chad, norton, McIntosh, Willis, MJ and others in the NFL adding to the unquestionable Hurricane bloodline.
And every DB LB DE and DT high school stud in the southeast will be buying tickets to sofla to check out he new dorms the IPF and hopefully some bowl hardware. More tweets about the dream offer from UM and more decisions to be respected.
