Look, junior, it's one thing to laugh at the accurate description of Gainesville, while saying, hey, I also had some fun there, but it is another thing entirely to call UM fans "ignorant" over this. And before you get all defensive, consider this, I am alum of both UM and UF (though I obviously only care about one alma mater, and that is UM), so I can speak from "non-ignorance" about what a mudhole Gainesville is.

Consider Gainesville's original name (Hogtown) and you will realize that it has ALWAYS been a trucker layover (when truckers rode horses and whatnot). I don't understand why it is so hard for Gainesville-lovers to admit that it is possible for TWO things to be true at the same time: (a) yes, you can drink and have *** with coeds at nearly any college or university on the planet, thus any "place" can be "fun" to "go to school", and (b) the entire area of Gainesville is an arid, landlocked, redneck hogtown.

It's not complicated. And you can stop calling us ignorant for hating Gainesville. Do you still live there? Consider that.

People overrate how great it is to be in miami for football cause most of the time is working sun up to sun down, so alot of the benefit is lost.

So what is your point? Yes I wouldn't want to live there long term. But yes, its as good or better to be on that campus for those 3-4 as it is at miami. I can say that, without losing my canes fandom you total imbecil.

Not sure what the fuss is about Gainesville. Im a die hard Cane but just graduated UF and I can tell you that yes, it is a ****hole, but it was a **** of a college experience. Some kids like the fact that it's a true college town that revolved around athletics and the school in general. There IS certain draw to Gainesville, its just that what draws people to Gainesville differs from what draws people to Miami. There are hundreds of colleges that kids attend to further their athletic careers all over the country, so lets not act like every place other than Miami is some terrible place that no one wants to play ball at. Just my two cents.

Goodness gracious, the ONE THING that these Gaytor tears threads seem to do better than anything else is force the Gaytor moles to show themselves.

It's like their Kryptonite is "saying bad things about Gainesville". They just can't help themselves, they have to come out and defend all the fun that they had as Gaytors.

Again, just so everyone is clear. Nobody denies the appeal of tens of thousands of 18-22 year olds and a ****-ton of alcohol. But has been pointed out ad nauseam, you can find THAT in all 50 states. Once you realize that the "appeal" of Gainesville is identical to any other college town, you can begin to wrap your head around the concept that there is NOTHING ELSE that distinguishes Gainesville from any other racist mudhole in America.

The people that live there outside of students are typically inbred farmers. It just is what it is. You made your bed,you can lay in it. There are plenty of diehard fans of teams they were raised to support but circumstances in life did not afford them the chance to the school they love. MIAMI is a great example as the price tag is astronomical but worth it. I may have attended UF for a brief stint in my youth but I never stopped repping my canes and never missed a game . I cant stand the Gayturds now anymore than i could then, but living up there was a blast for the limited time i was there. How that somehow equates to me or some others here with similar experience being attacked as being less of a cane is blowhard bullsh!t. Immaturity is rampant here. Give it a rest

I graduated from UM and I did visit Gainesville. Had a great time drinking and banged a Gator coed. She was hot. I had fun.

The best feeling I had that weekend (other than busting a nut on the back of a gator hoe) was getting back to beautiful Coral Gables. The place felt like heaven after being in that s_hithole all weekend.

Everything about Miami it is superior and if you sit there and try to say positive things about Gainesville in comparison, than you must never have really had the opportunity to see Miami as it really is, a paradise.

There is truly nothing better than being a Miami Hurricane.

KKKanesville is, and always will be, a hillbilly shīthole. I get some people felt compelled to attend UFæg due to finances. I also get that you can have a good time anywhere with the right combination of willing pūssy and mind altering substances. That doesn't mean where you had the fun is a great place.

You could be in a trailer in the middle of a cow pasture partying with a gaturd bimbo. Yes, you have great memories of spraying her tramp stamp with your man chowder and using her face as target practice. It doesn't mean you extoll the virtues of the stinking cow pasture.

I know enough people that went there, but are loyal canes, and that agree that hogtown is the diseased ****** of the world. They partied and had a good time to pass the time, but they never lost sight of the sentence of having to endure living in a klan outpost.
