The fringe take is Marcelin for me as i didnt see the need with Nix. If we are getting Wiley and Alford to flip this will be a big time lb class...and likely allowing us to just grab 2 next clas tops.

But like you stated the room is cooking up to be a bunch of 6'1-6'3 225-240 type bodies in short order with Pruitt being the outlier because he can thump n run

This is where I'm at. I see Nix and Marcelin as a bit redundant, with Nix being the much better prospect. If we end up flipping Alford and signing Wiley along with Nix, that's a great LB class. But, it also means Marcelin is probably never seeing the field here if he ends up signing, too.

Special teams contributor and keeping a pipeline open is a good outcome sometimes.

You must not seen our lbs being hurt all year .

I'm more focused on the latter. If Mario is the sanctified recruiting saint many here claim, Marcelin should be recruited over in the portal, and again in c/o 2026.

Now what he has going is he was the heart n sould of Centrals defense.

Hes up for the Nat Moore trophy for best player in south florida

he has 2 guys with direct connections on our staff in sabbath and roland.

He impressed the staff in person on campus and i believe at 7 on 7s where typically lbs dont.

Im guessing they are betting on that. If they land who they do this is extremly impressive lb group 2 years in a row.

It hasn’t shown this year and I’m not sold on Nicholsons ability to develop but that room has been transformed to start to look a certain way. I think nix and Marcelin are fringe takes but when you land dudes like Pruitt, Washington, and hopefully a Wiley type talent I can live with taking the undersized, limited athletically, high iq type backers.

Does Chase come back? I had written him off then saw him pretty active vs Ga Tech. Maybe he's finally working his way back from injury? If so, could be a sixth year in the works for him.
