Im pretty sure Ghandi is a canes fan by previous posts and though I agree we lose to UF I hope we win but I see it like he does. They have recruited betgter and have better depth and kids that can step in and not miss a beat. I think UFags Dline is what beats us.
We had a completely different defense against ND and Kansas State last year
No Porter in both. No Pierre vs. ND. Darius ****ing Smith started both games.
Rodgers and Highsmith starting vs KSU and getting a **** load of minutes in both games; not to mention Telemaque taking retarded angles with 4.9 speed a large portion of both games.
Perryman playing out of position imo at Mike in both games forcing Cornelius and Paul on the field way too much.
Think about how much better Miami can be up the middle this year. Porter and an improved Pierre with possibly a contributing Robinson. Kirby and Gaines at Mike in which I think they're better suited. (Perryman keeping Cornelius from starting at Will) Bush and Jenkins' athleticism instead of those other two dip ****s.
If Miami gets contributions from Gilbert or one of the other defensive ends we have on the roster next season this is an entirely different defense. Either way it's still going to be much better
Anyone that wants to compare what we could have next season with what we had in "the big games" hasn't even thought about it.

I don't think it makes you less of a Canes fan to have some skepticism about our defense or to say that at this moment UF has better personnel across the board than us. Having said that, I am making the trip down from Atlanta and will be rooting may *** off for the Canes on Sept 7th.

no one is saying its make you a less or more of a fan to think what you think. But when you base your opinion on illogical thinking and without perspective and supporting statements it makes you look like a dumbass troll.
I will be in Vegas in two weeks and if it's still above 4 I'm dropping 10 dimes without hesitation.
One more thing for Superfan guy here:
- K State, spread option run team. Beats the **** out of Miami.
- Notre Dame, power run team, beats the **** out of Miami.
- FSU's game was not as close as the score indicates. They ran the ball effectively as well.
UF can run the ball better than or at least on par with these teams.
Wrong as usual.
Last year they ranked behind all those teams in rushing. They lost their workhorse SR RB and some OL.
Miami played without one of their best DT's in all those games you mentioned. This year Porter plays.
This plus the DL gaining 15+ pounds in the offseason and having an extra year experience should mean something. Or do you expect players to not to develop year over year?
So essentially what you're telling me here is that Porter is going to play this season and this game. Even though history tells is otherwise.
So they'll get better just because; OK. You got me sir. There is no way to argue with this logic here.
But before I bow out of this thread defeated, I'll just say this:
- UF has recruited much better than Miami the last couple of years. The replacements for Gilleslie and the OL are physically mature players who have at least 2 years in their program (this will be their third year).
- Miami, on the other hand, trots out Pierre (who is very good) and Mr. Glass. All of the other JAGS at DT play on skates so even IF the 'Turds had a disadvantage on the OL or the running game...Miami isn't equipped to expose it.
- Which DL has gained +15lbs?
- I don't expect players to remain the same, especially young ones. What I'm trying to point out is that expecting a massive jump from jag to contributor as a Sophmore doesn't happen often; especially at that position. Go look at the roster again.

You feel their D-line will be that much better than our veteran O-line? That's far down the list of my concerns.
