It's just hilarious that in a matter of a week UF fans have flipped and now G5 Billy is the best coach and recruiter out there.

I'll give it to Napier for changing the narrative, but the collapse at the end season on the field and recruiting will be colossal.

Haven’t beaten us for anyone until ink meets paper… maybe 1 person the TE but if we land Odom look out for their reaction of “our guy is better isn’t scared of the SEC blah blah”

Also I have a feeling a lot of these kids got some upfront $$ to commit now and they’re trying hard to not let them visit anywhere else because they blew their load to try and gain some momentum. They still haven’t gotten Lagway any help it’s mostly been defensive guys

This is true. Al golden also routinely had top 5 classes in the summer and jimbo would magically move past us every year.

Can they retain that class after a 3-9 season?

A good head coach could probably do that if it was his first year. He can sell hope. He can sell “we have to get my guys”.

Can any coach sell that after a regression in YEAR TWO?

To be fair that(top 5 in the summer) only happened once which was in 14. The part you are right is that cycles 12-14 Jimbo would always embarrass that man starting from December to NSD.

Elite recruiters move passed everyone late. The pretenders usually do the Al special and get kids early and they leave late.

I think of and when Zaquan Commits, thats likely it at safety. I doubt they take 4 safety bodies. Maybe they will look in the portal if James and Kam both leave and depending on who transistions there as well like Jaden Harris etc. I like the fact that mario doesnt count his chickens by just zero in on recruits and prematurely stop recruiting others like in the past.
