Unless the $$$ is too good I don’t think Lagway is gonna stick around.

If he's their best recruiter then they're in real trouble.

If I am his dad why send him to one of the toughest conferences in college football without any O-line, WR or TE... ok they have some running backs, but that's it and teams are gonna stack the box and force them to throw.

I wish we had been on him more

And their best case scenario is a totally green, true freshman quarterback, four months removed from his senior prom as a starter. With an offensive line anchored by 0-star twinkle toes from Germany. Oh yeah, it’s gonna be fun to watch.

Lol last week or this week I said they’re talking **** but their class is topped out and we’re just getting started. I said to watch their average score drop a good deal and for ours to rise significantly. They had a 94 plus average. They are now at a 93 which is still great. Let’s see where they are in August. They’re not landing any more top targets beyond what Raymond gets.

And if Lagway bails… chaos

They should have kept Mullen and gave him the money they spending on Billy and say, go surround yourself with young hungry recruiters. Cristobal coming here opened my eyes on what it really takes to compete, like really compete. Not ND we are so sound we can schedule our way into 10 wins then get smoked. They are fooked

This is exactly it. I thought he was solid to them which in itself is weird because Billy’s offense isn’t that good but the fact that they aren’t able to add much in the way of talented OL has to be something important for him to consider for his own health and performance potential.

Mullen would’ve done the same thing Billy did with that money and overpaid his friends with it but atleast he
would’ve given them a scheme advantage. They’re are seriously F’d with Backwoods Billy

Yes, but Mullet's friends were coming from SEC-SEC-SEC. McSharkFvcker and Slingblade both overpaid their G5 Gaytor Staphs...

I agree with you in principle except they burned him out and that commitment would have needed to come earlier. Their fans are awful and the University doesn’t give the coaches the support they need relative to satisfy their brutal fanbase’s expectations.

Also, Mullen would need to not simply hire friends or guys he’s comfortable with like Hevesy and Knox or whoever the RB coach was. And top assistants would need to want to work for him which is another challenge as he’s an odd bird.

The other thing is that it still takes a strong recruiting HC at the top Saban, Kirby, Dabo… all are driven to succeed on the trail and play major roles in landing guys. Mullen doesn’t like recruiting really.

If Mullen had Mario’s recruiting ability or Mario had Mullen’s X and O’s acumen, I think you’d have a top 5 coach right there. That’s why it was so important for Mario to hit on his assistant hires. Hopefully, regardless of last year, it’s a different story this year.
 
Lol i was trying to make the best of two horrible situations. Mullen i know for a fact can coach and coach up QBs. Down side, the recruits get kudis from tongue kissing is wife.
