HAHAH he literally goes to Buchholz in Gainesville
Now now. I’m sure with all the top end talent waiting to commit, scratching and clawing for a committable offer, I’m sure he was told to look elsewhere cause they surely are replacing him with someone way better, right? Or, this could be a daz worshelin situation where talent just doesn’t want to commit

OK, I want to apologize to AR-15.

This time, he had TWO good plays during the game.

Here is what AR-15 accomplished through the air:

51 yard pass (TD) - this was an excellent play, less than one minute into the game
1 yard completion - second completion NINETEEN MINUTES OF CLOCK LATER...seriously...
20 yard completion
1 yard completion
6 yard completion
THAT'S IT FOR THE FIRST HALF
14 yard completion
29 yard completion
7 yard completion
4 yard completion
12 yard completion
11 yard completion
8 yard completion
11 yard completion
6 yard completion
4 yard completion
THAT'S IT FOR THE GAME

15 for 25 for 60% completion for 185 yards. Take away the first throw, and he goes 14 for 24 for 134 yards and no touchdowns in the remaining 59 minutes of game time.

Ah, yes, but AR-15 can run also...

5 yard run
4 yard run
2 yard run
4 yard run
10 yard run
-6 yard sack
2 yard run
THAT'S IT FOR THE FIRST HALF
81 yard run (TD) - this was an excellent play
7 yard run
THAT'S IT FOR THE GAME

9 rushes for 109 yards and 1 TD. Take away the one run (and even the sack), and he goes 7 for 34 on actual runs, with no touchdowns, in the remaining 59 minutes and 45 seconds of game time.

AR-15 accounted for 132 yards on 2 plays. AND THEN...168 yards for the entire rest of the game. Never have I seen such a disparity between "the good plays" and the rest of the game. Feast or famine. Absolutely no consistency, at all, to AR-15's game.

Again, just think about this analytically. I am not TAKING AWAY his two good plays, but if you look at his play for the other 59 minutes of game time, he averaged UNDER 10 YARDS for his other 14 completions, and UNDER 5 YARDS for his other 7 intentional runs.

We have to be honest. AR-15's passing game is dink-and-dunk and his running game is average. The entire Gaytor team is standing around holding their (collective) breath hoping for AR-15 to hit a home run. And 2 big plays for TDs per game is not cutting it.

Glad to see Five Star Lingard get some burn, though...

If a QB was putting up THOSE STATS at any other school, the fans would demand a benching.

Gaytors have played 7 games.
---96 completions is less than 14 completions PER GAME
---1,367 yards is 195 yards PER GAME
---14.24 yards PER COMPLETION
---6 TDs is less than 1 PER GAME
---7 INTs is 1 PER GAME
---Longest completions in each game have been:
23 yards (Utah win)
28 yards (Kentucky loss)
33 yards (USF win)
44 yards (Tennessee loss)
75 yards (Eastern Washington win)
20 yards (Mizzou win)
51 yards (LSU loss)

---56 rushes is 8 rushes PER GAME
---395 yards rushing is 56.4 yards PER GAME
---7.05 yards PER RUSH
---6 TDs is less than 1 PER GAME
---Longest rushes in each game have been:
45 yards (Utah win)
4 yards (Kentucky loss)
16 yards (USF win)
11 yards (Tennessee loss)
45 yards (Eastern Washington win)
32 yards (Mizzou win)
81 yards (LSU loss)

BY FAR, AR-15's best game this year was against Eastern Washington (surprise, surprise).

Outside of that Eastern Washington game, though, in the other 6 games, AR-15's entire season has been:
---the 45 yard TD run against Utah
---the 44 yard TD pass against Tennessee
---the 51 yard TD pass against LSU
---the 81 yard TD run against LSU

Two good throws. Two good runs.

Wow. 7 games out of 12 are already in the books for the Gaytors. Remaining games are against Georgia, aTm, South Carolina, Vandy, and F$U.

I'm going to go out on a limb here, and predict that AR-15 will not be a Heisman finalist.

How did I miss the turds lost to Vandy? when? any chance Vandy can start a win streak? OH please let them start a win streak against the turds.

Huh? They beat Vandy last year and have not yet played Vandy this year.

The Gaytors have three WINS in the last 14 games, and two of them are wins against Vandy and Mizzou.

I mean, I realize this is tough stuff to comprehend for a Gaytor, but I was analyzing an individual player's performance, not the team stats.

At least TVD is giving us some statistical evidence to believe that his first 4 games might be in the rearview, and his last couple of games are more like what he did last year. Or, in other words, he's moved past the first few transitional games under a new OC. In somewhat hopeful news, TVD had 2 of his 3 sub-par performances come against non-P5 teams (I don't count the Bethune-Cookman game as a bad performance, given how much we ran the ball in that game), while he's had two stellar statistical games against P5 teams.

On the other hand, AR-15 is putting up the same ****ty stats that he has for the last couple of years, particularly against P5 teams. He's had 7 games of horribly mediocre performance, interrupted by exactly FOUR good plays in six P5 games. And, bravo, in 2022 the Gaytors have still managed to win half of the games where AR-15 stinks it up against P5 opponents.

If you want to focus on the Gaytors' 4-3 record to minimize the obviously terrible output by AR-15 over 7 games (and/or hold out hope that it will get a lot better against Georgia), that's up to you.

so basically TVD is good against bad D's but average against good defenses?

(don't fall for my bait)

I'd also point out that this is the "Gaytor Tears" thread, not the "Gaytor-Cane Equivalency" thread...

We don’t have much to say about performance this year. For me, I’ll just enjoy the AR15 hype crashing like every other QB they hype up preseason. You guys do as you wish. In the meantime, this could hurt them at Buchholz. First Lakeland now this.
