where is the confidence on Rashada coming from on our end? Cribby and others have told us we weren't the best offer and the staff was tiring with how this recruitment was handled, why all the new optimism? Emory not committing this weekend?
Leeds has given us a new lease on life here plus he did push his announcement back as well?

Emory didnt commit, Rashada postponed his commitment and decided to take a final OV to Miami on the day he will now commit.

This sounds like that ban bet @IndayArtHauz made last year regarding the Noles

I don’t know that there is any real confidence. I know I’ve always felt that if we got the last OV that we’d get him but I don’t know that as fact. How can anyone know that as fact? I do think it’s possible that he could come to miami for less than UiF if he doesn’t really want to go there. Who knows. Most of us are just happy to watch these smug pricks freak out and at a minimum, have to pay max dollar if they get Rashada.

The thing is, Que Nugget is not reporting on the current state of things in the recruitment. He is implying the decision has been made and won’t be changed by the OV to Miami.

Claiming it won’t change regardless which is bold (idiotic) when it comes to recruiting. Northern is the only one willing to call out how dumb that is.

But if Rashada is indeed ours, I think we’ve seen the last of Que Waffle Fries.

Exactly.

I'll take it one step further. All of Que's info comes from a frat brother who is an assistant coach. Therefore, all of the "confidence" that the "decision has been made and won't be changed by the OV to Miami" comes from a Gaytor assistant coach.

And without spending a lot of time on the fact that the Gaytor coaches have been misled by recruits MULTIPLE times in the past few years, I'll focus on something else.

When you have a kid who is thisclose to committing to you...and he SAYS he wants to visit, you can either bend over and take it...or begin to threaten the scholarship offer...

And if the scholarship offer is even mentioned, what is the FIRST THING the recruit does? HE REASSURES THE COACHING STAFF. "Yeah, I just want to take all five of my visits. I just want to be sure. I am still committed to you coach, and I promise I won't come in your mouth either."

Textbook playbook. OF COURSE the recruit will tell the first coaching staff that the last visit means nothing. That part is obvious. But it doesn't obligate the coaching staff to BELIEVE the obvious lie.

AND IT **** SURE SHOULDN'T LEAD THE COACHING STAFF TO SPILL ALL THE TEA TO A FRAT BROTHER WHO RUNS STRAIGHT TO A CHAT BOARD.

That's the part that is hilarious and crazy. I mean, if you had a strong suspicion your wife was cheating on you, would you tell your biggest gossip friend so that he could broadcast it to the world?

Weird. But, man, I love them dumb Gaytors...

I feel like if he really wanted UF he would be there already, but at the same time the Dad could just be playing hardball with the Gata to squeeze every last up front dollar out of their NIL offer. That's what I would be doing if that was my only goal out of this recruitment, especially with the portal trip available in 6 months

This argument is all about semantics and is irritating me.

The kid isn't a ******* priority. UF didn't take our cookie and we dont give two ***** where this kid goes.

He's like 20th on our prospect list and O Line recruitng has imploded if we end up pushing for the kid to flip from UF.

If you truly believe otherwise your an idiot or a troll
Yall all come off the same way, claiming things I didn't say. "UF didn't take our cookie blah blah". First of all I didn't say that and I don't care about that if they took some 3 star rated OL from Ocala. All I said and asked was how can we not recruiting a player but he is scheduled to take a OV? It's a simple question. Regardless pf our level of interest in him. That yall turn into long diatribes. Players have been back up plans that's only gonna get offers in a fail safe scenario, where multiple targets go elsewhere, doesn't mean we aint recruiting them. My opinion of not recruit is no one is contacting them from our staff. But 1 after the other yall pile in here to exclaim that the Gators didn't take nothing from us. Who said this?

Has anyone picked up on this?

So according to Que-fil-a… Rashada dad loves Napier especially from his time at Arizona State and Florida supposedly has the biggest “NiL” offer on the table yet his father is being greedy by trying to get more $$ and is the reason for postponing his announcement

Seems to me if every box is being checked you would have committed by now. You got the $$$$, the coach you want… no brainer right?

Or maybe things aren’t what they seem 😎
