Depends on the dog.
Raccoons are wild. Most dogs are domesticated and are used to other wildlife, dogs or cats just running away. If your dog has never been in a fight or hunted or doesn’t have that instinct; it’s in for a ride mthfckng awakening with a big raccoon.
I live out in west broward close to US 27. We had raccoons always coming around. I was afraid to have my kids play outside at times especially at night. Got a hunting dog and that problem was solved. Idk if these mfers smell it or what but after 1 dead raccoon it was a wrap. Haven’t seen one in the yard in 3 years.
Totally agree, these weren't Cane Corso's running out there. They were those mid grade mutts you can't identify other than to say dog. A hunting dog aint your average dog. I have an 80 pound Dutch Shepherd and I'd take him over a decent amount of people and I'm sure he'd work a raccoon but I'm not letting him out there. I personally don't need to see a racoon getting ****ed up and the last thing I'm willing to chance is the big flap of skin hanging off my dogs snout. I think racoons are pretty cool and I'd drink beer with one if he'd promise not to run off with mine.

My brother lives on about 10 acres north of Orlando and he's got Zebu cattle and a couple of Catahoulas to help him herd and whatnot. He gets bears and gators that come onto his property, and those Catahoulas are smart. They bark like **** and run around, but they never get close enough to get bit or clawed.

The problem with raccoons is the rabies. You don’t want them getting used to being on your property.
I’m not particular cool with animals getting fckd up either. I wouldn’t let my dog go like that for kicks. But if their in my yard it’s game on.

4 ED visits for rabies shots is a pain in the ***. The total cost for the tetanus immunoglobulin and 4 vaccines can be up to 10k. Even with insurance your deductible is about to get maxed out cause of a raccoon

Lol. Northern Gator from 247 came by for a visit.

K thx.
Couldn't stomach the whole dialogue, but it seemed to me he's very proud of uf's conference titles in view of UM's absence of (ACC) conference titles. I may point out in retrospect that uf joined the sec in 1932, and immediately claimed their first title 59 years later in 1991. Sort of one of those insults that look better on the supposedly insulted.

Meaning Miami still has another 41 years to win the ACC before they can use that as an insult

Yeah, you gotta do what you gotta do when they become a nuisance. Like squirrels, in general I can't stand them but I don't go out of my way to destroy them. However, when they start ******* my yard up I drag out the pellet gun. I pop them and toss them out by the road.. Buzzards gotta eat, same as worms.

So we won our 4th national title in the same year they won their first conference title, got it
