They couldn’t even afford one of the old Miami ones at Manny’s garage sale?

Ah, there we go. Billy Gaypier with his groundbreaking "layers" concept. People can go back to one of the first articles on 247 after Gaypier took over, and he was yapping about "layers"...

Apparently he was going 105 mph in a 60 mph zone... at 4 a.m.

If all he got was a speeding ticket, maybe those two PDs are alike afterall.

Hogtown is notorious for the cops pulling over students on pretext, hoping that they can catch kids who have been drinking/smoking. I lived there for one year, and I got pulled over multiple times, one was on campus at night DURING SPRING BREAK when there was nobody around. Every time I got pulled over in Hogtown, it was an inordinate amount of time that the cop was shining his flashlight in my car, looking for anything to escalate the ticket.

On the other hand, Hogtown cops usually let the athletes go with a warning, all you have to do is tell them you're a Gaytor athlete and you'll get different treatment. I have a very good friend who has lived in Alachua County for almost his whole life, he is a judge there now; I went to law school with him for a year as a 1L before he transferred law schools, and he was a defense attorney in Alachua before he made it to the bench.
