They are delusional. Yeah Dabo was "desperate" because he had two 11-2 seasons and top-10 finishes in a row the 2 years prior to landing Watson.

Yeah... I think what Fields is doing to McElDonkey is the recruiting equivalent of a mercy fûck. The kid just feels sorry for him and his "you're gonna be a gaytor" lines. McElDonkey's getting a little *** but he won't get the grand prize.

That's what these dip****s don't understand...the UF writer cornholed this kid in a room, and OF COURSE the kid was 10 times more positive about UF. THAT'S. WHAT. HAPPENS.

Not to mention the kid is insisting on it not being a "done deal" because it ISN'T a done deal.

So I'm looking at this banner on the Gators stats page on rivals/yahoo.

Last Year:

Passing yards: 165th
Rushing yards: 211th
Total yards per game: 222nd



Sorry. That's not just "we didn't have a QB". That is absolute and systemic breakdown of the entire offense.

Fields will see more of the same this year. His recruiting to UF should not be read as a "done deal" because it will never be a done deal.

It's hard enough for adults to tell other adults they aren't interested, I'm not surprised kids struggle with it. Sometimes they're playing games, but sometimes it's just hard to say no.
