LOL!!!LOl!!!! the GAYTOR must rank in the 20's now for this incoming worthless class...love it!!!
That's Steele, Jones, Hammond, Black... maybe some others I don't remember. Then we all know 5-10 will flame out.. **** that's a complete fail of a class. 2020 they are going to have to nail it. In today's recruiting world. You can't have two years worth of suck classes.

So what exactly do you take that as meaning? Other than the fact he feels he had a great relationship with manny? Which he was telling to um reporters I'd imagine. All those same dbs yall like to complain about says Mike or banda they have amazing relationships too. Never has nothing to do with their actual recruitment though. Nesta said he had an amazing relationship with jess when kool left. Reality was he spoke to jess twice and jess never even bothered to come to the house or call his parents. Recruiting articles are lip service. Nothing more.
Thank God he decided to come, any insight as to "laid back" approach by Simpson?

It’ll get resolved. UiF likely screwed up the paperwork.

I'll say it again, this is NOT politics. I graduated from UM Law over 20 years ago, I have several friends who are immigration attorneys. In addition, I have been working on behalf of one of my employees for over a year TRYING to get her a green card (she does international tax, which is a very hard job to fill in Central Florida, we have almost no pipeline).

The current situation, factually, is incredibly difficult right now. Lots of misinformation out there. The accurate information comes from people who have been working in the field for nearly 25 years. Minor errors, which would previously be correctible, are now grounds for rejection and another 1 year of waiting. I was told by a friend how to "improve" the application for my employee, unfortunately my HR department would not do what I requested them to do, and my employee has been denied for 2 consecutive years. She has a standing job offer, passed each of the CPA exam portions on her first attempt(s), she is from VENEZUELA, and she can't get through the (bullsh!te) "system" even with her application perfectly filled out.

The stuff that is happening out there is real. That's not political. It's just reality right now. There IS NO "system". There IS NO "right way". Whatever was common a few years ago is not so common today.

Look, I do indeed HATE the Gaytors. But I certainly hope that they don't lose a recruit over a student visa issue. If they do lose Wilson, sure, I'll laugh at the impact on the Kruiting Klass Kalculator, but I am rooting for the kid to get his student visa anyhow, no matter how much I hate the Gaytes.

If the kid has his best relationship with the hometown coach, but he gives his first verbal to an out-of-state school and his second verbal to a school 6 hours away, then it seems like he is set on leaving Dade.

We can keep recruiting him, but it doesn't seem like anything is going to work for us in this situation.

It's not a "Gaytor win" over Miami if the kid really isn't even considering Miami. He could have 50 offers, that doesn't mean he is considering 50 schools equally.

They're still waiting to see what happens with Henderson for the 2019 class. If they get a big decommit like Dexter Gurvon and miss on guys like Arian Smith, which might happen, they’ll be in some trouble.

Right.

These Gaytor mo-fos are out here building 27 member mock classes, and simply forgetting that if they honor the spots reserved for the JuCo non-qualifiers, they aren't going to have 27 new guys EVER.

Not to mention the fact that they will likely take a few transfers. Nope, Gaytor Fan Meth and his buddies are using every IC counter for new guys, and simply ignoring the reality of the new college football landscape.

100% and like you said even though he chose to be a gator I'm not gonna make fun or mock him for something I guarantee is out of his control especially if he's done everything right in the classroom.

Let me ask you this. Do you think UF was able to help him with his paperwork for a student visa considering he already signed his LOI or were they not allowed to assist him in this.

UF can't really submit the paperwork for him. In a perfect world, we'd like to think that the school does all the work for you, but that's just not true. My niece is going to spend next year as a student in the UK and Italy (through F$U, I know, I know, don't give me ****e about it, I'm already ****ed), and while a school can give you a checklist, and they can do whatever they can do on their end, you still have to hire your own counsel and submit the paperwork yourself.

I would imagine that a football player cannot get any extra assistance that any other student can get IN THIS SITUATION. Yes, there are other things where they can get extra benefits, such as a larger bed in a dorm room, but from the standpoint of a foreign student getting a US student visa, that's something where a school will have to give the same assistance to an athlete that they give to a non-athlete.

I'll make this very simple. I would imagine that the "application" portion was completed, more or less, correctly. I would suspect that a supporting document or transcript was not submitted or attached. Again, in past years, this might have been handled administratively, with an allowance of time to supplement the original application. Currently, what is actually happening, is that people are (politely) told "sorry, apply again next year". That's the point. Not whether this is "right" or "wrong" or "fair", just that the current methods of processing focus on simple rejection of the application, rather than attempting to repair a defective application.

Not political in the sense of blaming any particular party. But it's what is happening right now. I've got plenty of people pulling their hair out right now based on how things are going, and you can only imagine, there are a lot of "less-talented" people assisting applicants, people who do not have a great law school education and the attention-to-detail that compare to what I know from my friends who work in this field.

Using 247's class calculator, they drop from 9th to 15th.

Let's not forget, the Gaytor fans only recompute existing top 10 teams. Thus, it is impossible for them to drop out of the top 10.

Miami had nearly a dozen transfers, and the Gaytors lost a half-dozen signees, but somehow they will still claim that their recruiting class ranks higher than ours.
